Their main problem is they're primarily located in malls, and malls aren't exactly doing so well themselves these days.

If I ever lost my job I'd just go to Sams for lunch everyday.
Hmm, I would like to have pizza at Sams to see the difference, but I don't have a membership there.
i don't know if you really need a membership to eat at sams. the greeter at the door doesn't check cards ( i seem to remember costco did to divert you to the new member counter ) and the food cashier doesn't check membership cards.
It used to be good.. a huge slice and a drink were like $4.00. I had one about 6 months ago and it wasn't that great and yeah, was like 6-7 bucks.
No thanks.
