I think I would get a nice piece of land and work with an architect to build my own designed home with wacky crazy stuff in it like a whole room that was just a marble run.

the first thing I would do would be to go to grad school.

after that, I'd get a job that was more rewarding intellectually, if not financially, and use investment interest on the remaining money to supliment for the reduced income.

I can't imagine not working, though... unless I had a stupid amount of money and could basically live my life in school pursuing multiple PhD's. hah. I'd love to have PhD's in English Lit, Sociology, and Biology :D

No, I'd just invest it all and bump up my income by a few hundred thousand a year.

I'd still be doing the same job and living in the same place.

Put $4million in an account gaining 4% interest. Quit my job and live on the $160,000/yr interest. ;) Nice and safe, just the way I like it. :) Now all I have to do is win the lottery, but first things first...I have to start playing.

I'd move about 20 miles from where I live now to a gorgeous lakeside house. Paid off for about a mil, invest the rest, continue to work at my current job until the investements really came home.
