I wouldn't really change anything on that alone. I would just bask in new found financial security. If the natural course of my interests is to move somewhere or try something new, I'd be more likely to try it though.

Yes, and no. I doubt I'd move anywhere permanently, I like it here. But I might buy a small place somewhere else to go durring the winter or to go fishing during vacations.

Which means at some point, you'll need a bigger house just for the toys :p

I already have it planned out, lol. I would move to FL and get a decent house with a pool and spend my days doing whatever I wanted to do which would be swimming, working out, bike riding, trying to make some money off the net, etc. :)

I am very happy where I am so no. I would probably just give the money away, it isn't of much use to me honestly. :)

No. I'd pay off the mortgage and other bills, buy the undeveloped properties on either side of my place (bringing the total to about 45 acres), build a new house (tear down current one), and invest what's left (probably about 3 million or a bit less after all of that spending.) We'd do a lot more travelling.

I'd relocate. Probably multiple times. I'd move somewhere, live there till i got bored or some other place sounded more enticing, move there, see how i like it, etc.

Same area, buy a decent house and renovate different aspects (home theater, garage and pool/jacuzzi). Invest the rest and live off interest after paying off current debts. Work for fun, odd jobs like a theater ticket person and ski bum.

the main thing to do when you win the lottery is to go off the grid to avoid all those would-be money beggers.

Yep, they can't hit you up for money if they don't know where you are. ;)

You don't have to go off the grid, you just claim the money smartly. Set up a blind trust through a lawyer and claim it that way. That way, the only people you have to worry about is your family.

I'd move to NC, I can't stand California, its too damn expensive to live here, and so far everyone I've met in California is too one dimensional.

Invest a good deal of it to make even more monaaay!
Eventually get a nice house + car + family.
Still would probably finish up college and get a job just for the heck of it.

Relocate to Vegas, use the few millions to play blackjack, double up a few times and become a billionaire.

If not I would need a good security system as I would be a target

If I won like 300 million, yes I would move and buy a secured house on a large lot with armed guards, people would try to steal my lucky charms!

I think it would kickass to win like 300 million jackpot, Take home mayb 100-150 million lump sum.

Retire my wife's parents and my parents, let them do whatever they want, or start their own business, whatever.

Buy big houses for, sister, sister, father, mother, wifes: mother/father, sister, brother

Start up some fun business and employee whoever I want to in my circle of friends and family.

Probably buy a 20-50k car for a lot of people, and send out a bunch of free vouchers for cruises or flights/vacations

If you invest a large portion of the winnings it would be possible to help a lot of friends and family for an extended period of time.

I'd take the lump sum, divest of everything, buy a Swan 56 and take a long, leisurely sail from San Francisco to New Zealand by way of Suvarov. Put the boat up for cyclone season, buy a BMW R12GS and explore NZ and Australia. From there, who knows.

I wouldn't relocate. But my priorities and my lifestyle would change.

You could easily retire on $4 million, if you didn't spend like a crazy person. The financial experts say you can spend 5% of the money per year and it will grow enough to keep up with inflation under most circumstances. That would mean $200k. Sounds like enough for me.
