2009 and 2005 they won the AFC North and made the playoffs instead of backing in with a loss and barely making the 6th seed thanks to everyone else in contention also losing.

Granted, they immediately lost in both appearances, and while they have a chance of beating Houston this season in the wild card round, its really only because of how woeful Houston is without their key offensive players, going from front runner to the #1 seed to missing a bye thanks to losing their last 3 games.

They only lost the first playoff game because of carson palmers shattered leg on a cheap hit.

I fully expect Tebow to lose against the Steelers. That said, there is no reason he shouldn't get full support from the Broncos as the starter going into next season. They need to get some WR's and TE's in that offense. If you can't do that... then release or trade the guy, that simple. Being wishy/washy isn't an option anymore.

But I thought Tebow freaking wins? Did you see his one long throw yesterday? A no spiral duck in the air. In two games against KC, he completed a whole 8 passes. He's a good running QB that can't throw. You would have thought since being drafted, he'd try and learn to throw the ball properly. No arm, no accuracy and no ability to be a pocket passer.

The gimmick has been figured out and he's been absolutely pathetic. If you thought he was pathetic in the last 3 games, wait til the Steelers get a hold of him.

They need a QB too. Don't forget about that. :D

so then why did the #1 seed Colts lose? Or the #2 seed Broncos?

The Bengals lost because they couldn't stop the Steelers from scoring.

The Bengals might not be the biggest joke of a franchise in the NFL, but that doesn't mean they're not a joke.

Wow, you really believe it's the fault of the TE's, WR's that the passing game is that bad?, you could give him the best in the league right now and it won't make much of if any difference, he's just not developed enough as a passer to utilize them...

I think they've even figured out how to stop his running. He looked straight up awkward against the Chiefs. The Chiefs have the gameplan for beating the Broncos with Tebow, they just didn't quite have the personnel this year to completely dominate the Broncos offense.

The Steelers have the personnel.

I'm not sure what to think of the Pitt/Den game.

If the Steelers somehow muck it up and Tebow wins in the 4th I'm pretty sure the Bronco franchise will be hamstrung for at least 3-4 years. Maybe longer.

That would be pretty fucking funny.

A paltry 6/22 for an average of 2.7 yds per attempt. No TD's plus one interception, and only 60 total yds. This led to a QB rating of 20.6. All this after posting a QB rating of only 37.9 in his previous game.

I can't recall ever seeing a QB post a rating that low, not to mention two games in a row where an NFL QB has sucked quite that hard.

Epic. The good, then the bad, now the ugly. Tebow's epic season continues. What hath Gawd wrought?

I present to you, Rex Grossman and his bipolar 2006 year. He put up 23.7 QBR and followed that up with a massive 1.3 QBR.

LOL his week 17 performance was even better. Coincidentally a late 1st round pick out of Florida. :D

It's a modern miracle that team got to the Super Bowl; Peyton Manning should send Lovie Smith a holiday card every year thanking the Bears for the gift-wrapped championship.

any bets on harrison teeing up on tebow and giving him a concussion? more telegraphed QB draws and the steelers are going to treat TT like Worthlessberger treats coeds in a bar bathroom.

What are the Tebow fans going to say if Brady Quinn comes into the game today to replace Tebow?

Does it matter? I don't see Fox pulling Tebow until it's already too late. He seems to me to be a fairly conservative guy.

Rotoworld just put this up:

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that the Broncos do plan to use Brady Quinn on third downs in Sunday's Wild Card game against the Steelers.

It's unclear whether Quinn will play in all third-and-long situations to open the game, or whether he'll only play in some packages. Per Glazer, the Broncos would bench Tebow outright if he "completely struggles." Either way, it's pretty clear Tebow is going to have to start Sunday's game hot from a passing-game standpoint in order to last four quarters. His rhythm could be affected if the Broncos mix and match quarterbacks during the game.

ESPN was saying that Quinn has been taking snaps with Tebow, sounds like he may have a short hook. It's the playoffs, I would think you want to win. Heck, a quick check of the Denver Post has had a couple of articles of about it too.

The opening offensive series might be a different QB for Denver. The hometown fans will be stunned but it could be a game changer. This Brady Quinn strategy might be John Fox's "secret" plan to throw the Steeler's defensive game plan off. Quinn is no magician, but he might be able to keep things close and prepare the Denver offense for a fourth quarter miracle. OTOH, this could be the biggest miscalculation of Fox's career and might pave the way for his exit from Denver.

If the bears don't play pussy conservative Defense and the immortal Ced Benson doesn't fumble, Bears win.

Quinn hasn't taken any more snaps in practice than normal. Due to the QB situation in Denver the backups have had reps the past couple years. It's the typical media making something out of nothing. Now that Tebow has been doing shitty all of a sudden Quinn taking snaps is news.

What do you mean "all of a sudden"? I thought it's universally known that he's pretty much shitty all the time and just have a streak of luck that's blown up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy over proportion?

So play two qb depending in down and distance.
