it won't fit though right? Euro and Asia's plates are slimmer and wider... usually won't fit the bracket in "USDM" cars.

he probably just did a plate transfer from a car he had back in hawaii to his car he got in the states. its easier sometiems to just transfer a plate than it is to get a new one with new registration and all that. you can keep renewing your old tags with them transferred pretty easily. had a teacher in HS that had georgia plates and she just kept renewing it and nothing was ever said about it.
