hi im here to inform everyone that the freshmen class at Westview High School in Oregon is currently doing a project about Africa. As most people would know Africa is a country that is struck by hunger and Unsanitary conditions. What were trying to achieve now is to save as many people from hunger in Africa as we possibly can. Though we cannot feed everyone thats hungry we can still feed as many to the best of our abilities. now why are i here making this post on anandtech? well im here to ask for donations to this cause. the money that is raised is going directly to Africa to help out hungry people. 100% of it and not a penny less will be going directly to the cuase. Every little penny helps! What you might consider pocket change can save a life! so dont just sit there on the tv hearing about the hunger issue there take action and feed the hungry! donations can be made in many ways, were still not sure about online money transactions but currently you can mail checks to westview high school.

Originally, Westview was built and the school lines re-drawn so that higher-middle class families would be the only ones with children to attend there.

yea its a common sterotype that westview is full of preppy kids, but its not, if you would just give us a chance and hang around with the people for a day i think you would reconsider, now jusuit (spelling?)............ but back onto topic please

Truth be told, I admire Africa's medieval and traditional cultures much more than their modern culture. And in many ways, I like it better than modern-day western culture, too.

Don't forget the AIDS epidemic and the occasional genocides... Africa has a lot going for it.

I also know people from Jesuit, Glenco, Century, and Hill High. Above all, Westveiw sucks the BIGGEST balls of all.

The AIDS factor is one of the reasons I posted what I did. I read somewhere that about 85% of Africa has AIDS (I don't have the data so don't shoot me) so I figure if they are too stupid to stop screwing and basically comitting suicide and damning their children to a life of hell they definitely don't deserve any help.......nature needs to take it's course.

The U.S. has just as many twisted problems as Africa and it's countries do. In many ways, they're the same issues on the larger scale. However, the U.S. seems so interested in "helping" (read: and failing) everyone else before they take care of their own.

yes we do have issues that reside within our own boarders but i dont believe its as large of a scale as Africas issue. Ever few seconds someone in this world dies from hunger. In america we are able to surive but over there there struggling to live!

You don't think that there are people here in the states who aren't struggling to survive? Take your fvcking charity and give it to a homeless shelter in Portland, if you're so noble. :| Take that money downtown, find someone who's homeless with next-to-nothing in their backpack that they live out of and buy them some food. Buy a shivering guy sitting in an alley way a coat. Do something for the country that's done so much for YOU only for you to spit in it's face and neglect it just like the stupid government that runs it who throws away valuable aid to other countries before looking after it's own. :|

Better yet... visit the Max stops at night and give a meal (not money, just food) to people who resort to sleeping there because they don't have any other place to sleep for the night. Take your "charity" and do something productive with it locally.

i understand that we do have issues here also but think about it a lot of those people do have the ability to go out and get work. people in Africa should be given a chance at life and not have to wake up everyday thinking where there next meal is going to come from. remember we are all human
