does anyone know what im trying to say here?

Yes, that the country of Africa is more important than the country that's taking care of you and giving everything that it is so you can ignore and neglect it. What a little bitch.

You're in high school, cute. Go to a mission in Portland and serve some soup twice a week for a semester before you start attempting to change foreign cultures.

I definitily agree with the general consencious here. How can we help others if we can't even help ourselfs? I know many people who deserves the money locally. You know 1/3 of children in MA go to bed hungry at night? 1/3! Now that's screwed up, since this country has a 30,000+ GDPI definitely agree with the general consensus here. How can we help others if we can't even help ourselves? I know many people who deserve the money locally. You know 1/3 of children in MA go to bed hungry at night? 1/3! Now that's screwed up, since this country has a 30,000+ GDP. We need to distribute the wealth in this country. Distribute it already!

but my main point here is not to argue who deserves the support, my main point here is to help out the people in Africa overcome hunger

You can't help them "overcome hunger", that's as inane as saying "we'll wipe out terror". What is needed is education and cultural change on a macro scale, throughout the continent, and no one can bring that about except the African peoples. Until then, it's TFB for them.

The Core workers dug the wells...While they watched.
The Core workers built houses.....While they watched.
The Core workers built fences for livestock......And they watched.

Screw that. Their too lazy to even WANT to help themselves. Give the money to a local charity.

Africa isn't a country!

That aside, it's inane to think that your time is being wasted by some idiot teacher when it could be put to much more productive use locally.

1) Nobody said helping people here was wrong. Everybody's saying that helping people in the country of Africa before helping people who actually deserve your "charity" is wrong.
2) Click the link in my sig and post there not here.

question then, would helping people who are tooo lazy to get a job be right? if they cant get a job cause of the economic state thats fine they should be helped but if there lazy then they dont deserve it.

The point is that you're babbling about foreign countries starving to death when people here are also starving to death. Why don't people in the countries of Africa get a job? Why don't they leave for another country to get a job if they can't get one there? I could go on and on, but something tells me that you're a prick and don't care.

Food aid actually has increased starvation in some of the countries in Africa by driving down food prices and putting local farmers out of business (or into the drug business).

A lot of the aid has also be stolen by corrupt local officials.

And starvation in Zimbawe is entirely that fault of ther leaders (with the support of the people) destroying the existing agricultural industry because it was mostly managed by whites (who employed and fed tens of thousands of blacks in the process).

Mass murder, genocide, corruption, AIDs -- as societies, these people are not taking responsibility for their own lives, and a sack of grain is not going to make any real difference until they change themselves.

OP, you have a nobble idea but I have to say...Charity begins at Home. We have to taken care of our own and our own have more than enough problems and needs.
