Sarah Palin to be McCain's VP!!

Dude but seriously, it would be a joke ticket. McCain was slowly but surely catching up... it will all go downhill from here.

Although she looks attractive (physically and Hillary voter drawing wise), I don't think it would be a wise choice:

9:47 (Dow Jones) Chatter saying John McCain plans to pick Alaska Gov Sarah Palin as his running mate seems a bit surprising for many reasons, but particularly since WSJ reported less than a month ago Palin was facing an investigation for abuse of office. In WSJ story at the end of July, Palin said she'll cooperate with the legislative probe, expected to be completed by November. (JHS)

She's pro-drilling, life long NRA member, Pro-Life (member of Feminists for Life - ha, I've never heard of such a group), signed an anti-gay marriage bill but vetoed a bill that would deny same-sex couples state benefits. I think she would make a great chioce.


BTW, ABC is reporting that Palin is still in Alaska and not heading to Ohio.
 
She is a little young and short on experience.

Irony:
Democrats say McCain is too old and has been in Washington too long and then nominate someone nearly as old who has been in Washington longer.
Republicans say Obama is too young and inexperienced and then nominate someone as young and inexperienced.

Does that mute those lines of attack?

Romney really wouldn't work. He can't carry MI and very doubtful about MA. I still think Hutchinson would be great or Palin too. My concern is a woman being selected being seen as another disaster like Ferraro.

 
Among the rumors is that Palin is a late darkhorse running a strong chance of being picked. Not sure what time the rally starts today or if they will release the name before hand, but this is getting interesting.

Indeed.. But I think it'll be a bit more difficult this year to blame America's problems on gays, gun rights, and abortion. But we still have a couple months to pound the wedge issues home. 😉

She is cooperating and the police officer involved was her sisters former husband who had other issues like drinking in the squad, shooting moose illegally, and threatening the govs father with his life.

I think this will be a small issue due to the character flaws of the officer involved and the entangling of the family with him. You think the democrats want to skewer a women over that guy? You couldnt make the hillary supporters run fast enough to her.
 
absolutely crazy... someone younger than obama with tiny experience... i can't believe it... they just handed it to bo... this isn't going to appease any hil fans... and with mccain's age and history she has a sluggers chance of being president within 4 years?

it's bold and crazy and they are swinging for the fence, but i think they picked the wrong ball for the try...
 
Yeah, I don't see Palin as a major threat to the Dem's... In fact, I rather like her for the spot. =)

I also don't see Hillary supporters flocking to her/McSame either, mostly because of her Pro-Life stance.
 
I had Palin or Pawlenty as my hopefuls. Should be interesting to see how she is recieved by the general population. Ideally it does strike a wedge in the democrats. Especially the women who wanted Hillary and are still bitter over it.

Yeah, she's been governor for two years and is under investigation...great choice.

But McCain does like his women young...that we know.
 
I like it, VP doesn't need all the experience in the world because they are not president. I think this will win back some of the hillary supporters by nothing other than her being a woman. Same thing happened with Hillary and Obama.

She seems to have good morals and a up and coming strong Republican. Reminds me of a true conservative rather than a mindless Republican or Democrat.
