She got $100,000 to speak about how Obama is taking people's hard earned money. Oh the irony.

Lol, I do not even know how to respond to this. If you think this is her career I wonder what you thought of Obama's career prior to being President.

Obama was a state senator like 7-8 years, before being elected as a US senator.

Hey guys how is hope and change working out for you? Get your healthcare yet?

It's closer now then it ever has been.

I don't doubt that it's coming evebtually, do you?? How many more people do you suppose will have to suffer and die early deaths before know-it-all A-holes such as yourself finally get thrown under the bus?

I love how she mentions this country needs more divine intervention. Ever notice all that means is give more rights to corporations and declare more wars on Muslims?

I've never seen a republican say God told them to stop sleeping with little boys or taking bribes from oil companies.

You owe me a monitor and a new cup of coffee. Very well played. :)

We have to wonder about the future of the tea bag movement. To some extent it was started by Dick Armey, who recruited a bunch of paid political activists, who went to Town Hall meeting, and then shouted down anyone who wanted to rationally discuss issues. And its somewhat snow balled from there as a group of people who are unsure of anything, offer no platform, but are dedicated to preventing government from doing anything at all.

If nothing else, it takes some the blame off the GOP in their lock step opposition, because they can point to the tea bag movement and say blame them for lack of change.

But we also can note, in that recent upstate New York congressional race, that the tea bag movement has the potential of splitting the GOP vote between the far right and the more moderate centrists. And as the tea bag movement is feeling its oats, and having a national convention, we have to wonder how many tea bag candidates will be on the ballot in 50 states running for election come 11/2010, running against both main stream Republicans, main stream democrats, and also libertarian candidates?

And when we can basically say, every vote for a tea bagger or a libertarian is one vote taken away from a nominal GOP candidate, we have to wonder if Dick Armey did not unwittingly create his own Frankenstein monster, whose first real act will be to bite off the very arm that created it.

Nor is it rocket science to think that a think for the moment candidate like Palin would be swayed into feelings of delusions, when she has nearly 100% of the tea baggers eating out of her hand and wildly applauding at every slogan she utters. But a wiser politician would realize that getting 100% of the votes of 15% of the electorate, leaves
them 35% of the electorate short of a winning an election.

Why did Coakely lose then?

Different times, especially after 8 years of Bush. I would argue that no Republican presidential candidate could have won in 2008. If Obama was Republican and McCain was Democrat, Obama would have lost.

The teabaggers pay 100k for Palin, schedule a nutjob like Bachmann to speak. Almost sounds like they are advertising that they are the lunatic fringe.

Maybe they're retarded.

A new political party for retarded Republicans to join? Yea, I can see that!

LOL, Whampom. she needs to money to buy her own book in volume.
Also, if the teabag party creates their own party, it will be over for the official Republican party

I support some of her policies. She is the only one that will do what the people elected her to do.

Look at Alaska, are you telling me that most people in politics today would accomplish what she has done? You can disagree with whomever you want, calling people stupid is hypocrisy at best.

There are many examples:

Democrats calling Republicans stupid.
Republicans calling Democrats stupid.
People calling Bush or Obama stupid.

Anyone in the right state of mind and who looked at the world through an independent lens would agree with me. All it does is show the extreme hate people have. It is a sad state of affairs in today's world. I am sick and tired of it.

You can disagree all you want on policies but as soon as you start degrading the person then you have lost the debate.

What about Alaska? You're saying no other governor could have used the state's natural resources as effectively considering the price of oil, which is beyond a governor's control? Please, Palin did nothing for Alaska that anybody else would have done in her place.

Let's not forget her support of the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it.

Furthermore, look at Wasila, strapped with tons of debt over something they didn't need.

What's funny is that you attribute to "the times" what I would attribute to politics since the beginning of time. Do you really think that these times are anything but the norm? Political attacks such as this have been around for centuries. Jackson accused attackers of killing his wife as they called her a whore. I mean, come on man, stop playing the pussy victim card.

I'll tell you what's ridiculous. The war on intelligence, that's what. The mere fact that we can deride such a highly educated person, bashing being a "community organizer", is ridiculous. This war on intelligence is a fucking farce and one that *IS* getting worse. They did the same fucking thing to Gore, saying he was "speaking down" to the people.

Well for fucks sake, maybe the people need to be "spoken down to". Why? Maybe they'll get off their fucking asses and think once in a while instead of listening to dittohead bullshit from Faux News.

It's utterly ridiculous such an empty-headed fuckwit, such as Palin, could even become mayor, let alone candidate for VP.

*applause*

Yep, entered office as mayor when the town had a balanced budget, left office with that place what? 20mil+ in the hole?
And let's not forget her ditching office last year. Must be that "rogue" thing we keep hearing about. For the good of the country, I hope it stays relegated to irrelevant rallies for sore losers.

That's your problem... Who are you calling Democrats? Who are you calling Republicans?

I'm neither so don't classify in your 2 party dream world. I didn't vote for Obama nor did I vote for McSame. Want an independent lens? Try a 3rd party lens and when I smell a heaping mound of steamy dog shit on the ground well... gotta call it the way it is. If it taste like shit... looks like shit, smells like shit... well... Then you guessed it it's probably shit!

Any one could look at Palin and see the BS she reeks. You'd have to be a fool not too.

Hate is a powerful thing.

It used to be popular to love your country.

I have to hand it to Republicans for their success in making it popular to hate your country.

No you're wrong. I can love my country but HATE AND DISAGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY with the morons in congress and the president himself. That is your right as an American Citizen. Love of one's country doesn't equal liking the leadership.

Suffer and die early deaths? You can bet your ass that it will jump tenfold if you get a single payer system in place. Don't preach your bullshit agenda to me. Why is it that you are unwilling to take personal responsibility for your own well being and the well being of your family? Why is it that you want ME, yes ME, through my increased taxes to pay for your health care? It is YOUR responsibility and yours alone. Why are you and others so unwilling to take care of your own business? Maybe that's a bad question because the same morons wanting socialism in this country also don't pay their bills on their home and car, then bitch and moan when the repo man shows up.
