If the people of Vermont want to re-elect Bernie...good for them.

I DO NOT want to see him run for President again.

I'm definitely not a (R), but I'm more conservative than most of my Democratic brethren. Bernie being a "self-proclaimed socialist" is enough for me to not vote for him ever.

I think there was once and probably still persisting, a thingi about people who are left handed. Apparently something about them gives other people the Willies. I also don't like it having my hand flop over the edge of the bed. There used to also be dragons drawn around the edge of the world on old maps. Which are you a snake or spider phobic?

Ok then, name a piece of legislation that he has passed since gaining a national audience?

That doesn't mean he hasn't done anything, it just means he hasn't done anything in his current role as a senator.

Do you know where Bernie should be and where he has made progress? Helping to elect new blood.
A nice thing about liberals is that if. say you point out they may be overgeneralizing, that have an ability rather more frequently than conservatives do to admit it.

I think that might be an overgeneralization though...

I asked you a specific question, you didn't address it or my point but I addressed yours.

So now I'm over generalizing?

I'd say it's mostly Trump who's been guilty of Over-Generalizing. Of course, he's already fired a few of them from his cabinet, so there's that.

"Everything should be free."

Pretty much sums up his platform.

Everything? Free homes and cars and clothes for all? I must have missed all that in his speeches. He just has different priorities for the money the gov brings in is all. You support spending money on war and killing the "wrong human beings" and regulating your morality on others. He supports a better world.

Actually is is a peer reviewed proven scientific fact. Of course 'rather more frequently' could be seen as an over-generalization, I suppose. Maybe I should have just said more frequently.

You began with this: "Yeah! A career politician and a national platform and following, with zero to show for it.

I like sanders I just think you guys are putting all your eggs in one basket."

I challenged this as myopically blind, that saying he had zero to show for it was ridiculously limiting what I would consider real achievements.

You then modified what you said and I simply replied that liberals can widen their perspective when challenged more frequently than conservatives can. I am not interested in your points or to answer your question because none of that was my point. I simply thought you sold Sanders too short and amended that over-generalization later. I thank you for doing so.

Someone who endorses and supports Sander's platform should run instead. Both Senate and President. I feel that, past a certain age, humans lose the ability to appeal to their audience. Frankly I think he was already past that point, but Sanders is uniquely qualified in expressing real human concern and an apparent resolve to do the right thing by us. It is difficult not to root for someone with that integrity.

Still... what we need to root for, what we need to support, is a grassroots and/or party movement towards those ideals. Sanders needs successors to the cause and we need to embrace them. It is policy that matters. The man is merely the messenger.

Haven't you "sucked off the teat of the system" for workmen's comp and SS? If you don't think both are "socialist," your real disability is in your cabeza.

Yep...and in one way or another, I paid into both systems..."sucking off the teat" not found. Are both systems "socialistic?" Sure...and I support single-payer for all health insurance...and I support taxpayer-funded public schools...but I don't support "everything for free for everyone" programs.

Some people just need more windmills to slay. Good gravy.

I see what you're doing there. Most of those are nice looking democratic female candidates. :)

Who else would be a good non-repub, moderate candidate for pres? I'm tired of the extremest on both sides.
