I must admit, I do miss the days when the NRA was mostly a gun safety organization. Now, they just seem to be a branch of the Republican party lobbying arm.

Damn, you must be old. The GOP weaponized the NRA has their own personal lobbying arm starting in the mid 70s. :D

Do you think the reason they haven't solved those problems is because of insufficient time on the legislative calendar? If not, why is this relevant?
They're difficult problems. Opioids, homelessness, gentrification, mile-wide income disparities, lack of affordable housing, high cost of living, so many constituencies that it's very difficult to generate consensus.
Inconsequential? The fact that one of the largest cities in the US and home of the tech industry is going to “re-examine their relationships with anyone doing business with the NRA” doesn’t seem inconsequential to me.
I think it's a good idea... boycott the gun lobby and manufacturers.

The NRA isn't going around burning down neighborhoods because the police shot someone that was up to no good.
Of course they aren`t! well duh!!! But what they are doing is going around making sure this guy had a right to have a weapon and enabled him to use it to kill others.....some difference, huh?

The NRA's position is that having a gun is fine and dandy (even if it's an AR, and gotten with no background checks) until you do something nasty with it. Works for them!

This is how far gone liberals are today. A group that wants to fight for a right codified in the Bill of Rights, that's all they're doing, is labeled as a "terrorist" organization by a liberal city. But then again this is the political group that things men are women if he just believes, convicted terrorists and child rapists should vote from prison, and wide open borders with free healthcare for all won't cost us much. So why wouldn't fighting for a constitutional right be terrorism to them? The left has gone mad.

Generalize some? The demonization of liberalism is one slight of hand trick I will never get. To me the term "conservative" is abhorrent. And you never make sense to me, I don't bother to read your posts because all they do is try to twist the reader's mind, what's the point?

Heh... I'm not THAT old. When I took Riflery in college (about 20 years ago now), the NRA paid for our ammo and gave us some pretty high end Anschutz .22 rifles to shoot while in class. I wonder if they still do that now.

Well, they're a criminal organization whose leadership supports domestic terrorism through their opposition to laws that would help hinder domestic terrorists' access to weapons of civilian mass destruction.

I always come here for a good laugh. I never leave disappointed.

They give the money to the Trump campaign instead.

God dammit Spidey. Are you seriously this fucking stupid?

A Russian Spy was literally fucking NRA leaders. (Yes, in beds)

Seriously? I mean, this has been headline news for over a fucking year.

Oh, wait, that's right. You belong to a cult who has convinced you everyone else is lying to you.

The leaders of the NRA were LITERALLY in bed with Russia and duped into doing the Russian government's bidding.

Literally.
In.
Bed.
With.
Russia.

How fucking stupid are you???
that's been answered nearly 17,000 times, as of right now.

All political posturing aside considering the amount of corruption, fraud, and potential infiltration by hostile foreign governments going on it's probably good governance for all municipalities to avoid dealing with the NRA just from a legal liability standpoint. I mean at this point the organization seems to be one giant scam to convert donor money to fancy suits for Wayne LaPierre.
Don't know if it's a scam or not, more to the point, I don't care. I've never given the NRA a dime and never will.
What does annoy me is a city mired in human shit and used needles from drug users wasting 10 seconds of time on virtue signaling.

Why? Doing this means literally zero as to whether those problems are solved.

Let's hear it for gross exaggeration & misrepresentation.
