That's fine as long as you add innovations of your own. What pray tell has Samsung introduced in the innovation department recently?
What innovations has Apple introduced recently? That has never been Apple's strength no matter how their delusional fans want to believe (seriously the only real innovation I can think of was Newton, but it was a horrible failure of an actual product). Their strength is executing an amalgamation of good ideas and then marketing it.
I'm not blind Apple hater (which I know you probably assume, I've defended them plenty). With some things I think Apple deserves some credit, although often its not so much that Apple did anything special, its that everyone else just rested on their laurels (take for instance the "retina" resolution stuff). Apple, due to their financial strength and profitability is in a unique position to be able to push things where other technology companies can't. That to me is not innovation but rather just acting as a catalyst. I think that's a good thing and that technophiles that hate everything Apple are stupid as they've effectively become necessary to push things when others can't, so even if you don't like the Apple version of something, they often do lead to improvements in general.
Look at any mass produced product and you won't find much recent real innovation that is solely at one company. Technology, especially when it comes to software is practically intended to function so that innovation is not limited.
