I do have one question about the battery life though. My phone has been unplugged for just under 8 hours and my battery is down to 27%. I don't know if I should be worried or not. I've been playing with the phone off and on all day, and I would say the display has been on for a solid 4 hours as i've been downloading apps and what not. I've had wifi and gps off for most of the day but I have been playing with those as well for an hour or two.
I've been reading that the battery life seems to start out bad for most people but gets better as time goes on. The fact that I've really been playing with it so much makes it so I'm not too worried about the battery, but I'm just curious as to what's happening with others.
doesnt seem too bad for using your display for that long and doing all that stuff. Search around xda forums and android forums for tips how to extend battery life.
Id say make sure you:
-flash to JH2, i think its helped out a bit in my case.
-Use wifi when its available, change the wifi sleep policy to never, and uncheck notify when a network is available. Then make sure you switch it off when your not in a wifi area.
-place the power control widget on one of your screen so you can
*turn the screen all the way down when it doesnt matter (helps a lot)
*keep GPS off when not in use (i never turn mine on-doesnt work anyway) plus ive heard GPS kills the battery more than the display.
*toggle wifi and Bluetooth- even though theyre in your notification bar
-keep an eye on how many different apps/widgets update - 3G uses a lot of battery
-live background use more than regular
-bright colors use more energy than black, and red uses then than others

-a screen that is on but is all black uses almost no battery. - same on all AMOLED screens
-switch from 3G to edge (i never do this but ive heard it helps)
I was also told to "break in" the battery by letting it run all the way down once or twice and then charge it while its off until full. they also said this
"Hi *******, I understand your concern regarding battery life on your Nexus One device. The following steps should significantly extend the battery life on your phone. Please connect the phone to the charger with the phone powered on, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green, indicating the device is fully charged. Disconnect the phone from the charger, and power it off. Reconnect the phone to the charger with the phone powered off, and allow the phone to charge until the notification LED is green. Disconnect the phone from the charger and power it on. Once the phone is powered completely on, power it off again and reconnect it to the charger until the notification LED is green. Disconnect the phone, power it on, and use it. You need to use this sequence only once. If the issue of battery life on our phone persists, I recommend you contact our HTC accessory department directly."
Hope i helped. The biggest thing i miss about my BB is the insane battery life, but by doing most of this stuff i get much more life out of my battery.
