This is the same as the post on the 955df for 181 at Dell but that isn't is stock right now. The 753df is 189.95 minus 10% for 171. Use the 25 off 150 to bring it to 146. There also is a 40 rebate for this monitor also for a final price of 106. Links below.

Hmmm, my 2 year old Samsung SyncMaster 700IFT 17" flatscreen will do 1600x1200 max @ 76Hz, and 1280x1024 @ 89Hz (my desktop resolution).

Is this a lower end monitor or something? Mine was only $250 two years ago...

Actually it is a kick ass monitor. I have the 19" version and I love it. I would get it for the $106 if it wasn't christmas season

Yeah, your 700IFT is their top 17" and the price is still 208 to 282 depending where you buy. The average is still around 240-250 plus shipping, and possible tax. This is still 106 after rebate and it is their entry level flat screen according to Samsungs website. At 1024 x 768, their recommended refresh is 85MHz which is fine and dot pitch is .20 mm horizontal. I suppose you get what you pay for, but this seems like a decent price, especially to the people that might not be able to buy the 19" 955DF since it's out of stock.

bought one about a year ago for around 300, and bought one from Dell 2 nights ago. What a great bargain now.

Looking at the Samsung rebate site and I don't see Dell as being an authorized online retailer

Is the rebate gonna be valid for a Dell purchase of this monitor ?

Amazon.com is also selling this monitor and they are also giving a 40 rebate that is the same rebate form as posted on the Samsung site, and they are not on the list either. The Samsung site says online retailers "including", which seems not to be exclusive of other sites. The fact that Amazon has the same rebate form, one would assume purchase would include the 40 rebate, thus, Dell should be OK also, but don't quote me on this. Here's the link and rebate form from Amazon. Amazon 753DF
Rebate form

Anyone else receive their Samsung rebates after purchasing from Dell?????

After looking at the wording on the rebate site more carefully, I would tend to agree with you, esquared.

In fact, I think I bought one of these back in January from Staples and used a similar rebate form that didn't specifically have the Staples logo on it.

I think I'll order one and take my chances - they are nice monitors for the price.

After Johnnie said he had confirmation on his rebate, I jumped on this too. Went through eBates and saved another 3 bucks. Final price should be 103 after rebate gets here. Now I have a decent monitor for my second computer I just built. Thanks for the info guys. Much appreciated. Merry Christmas.;)

I went for the 955DF instead of the 17inch
I already received my $40 rebate a couple of days ago!
Bought it in August, rebate took exactly 3 months:cool:

Wow, it still goes for $240+? I mean, it is a kick-a$$ monitor, but I would have thought it would be cheaper now. I didn't know it was their best 17" either. Yes $110 is a great price for a 17" flatscreen, but for the amount of time I spend looking at my monitor, I'm thankful I got one that supports 1280x1024 @89hz. And the 1600x1200 is nice for games.

Oh and I definitely recommend Samsung monitors. I've had mine for 2 years, and recently a couple little specs of the anti-glare coating came off, which was a relatively minor problem, but annoying none-the-less. So I called them up and because it came with a 3-yr warrantee they said they'd swap it with another one. I was worried about being w/o a monitor, but they sent it to mailboxes etc and i just went there and traded them. easy as pie.

What is the S and P site? Seems that I need to ensure to purchase through some affiliate site which is fine IF I can figure it out. :)

"Purchases must be made separately from system purchases to be eligible for discount. Terms and conditions apply. Only purchases made through the S and P site are eligible for this discount. May not be used in conjunction with other coupon offers. Order total must meet $150 before applicable tax and shipping charges. "

OH.. Now I get it - The DELL Software and Peripheral site. duh.
