<< Yeah, your 700IFT is their top 17" and the price is still 208 to 282 depending where you buy. The average is still around 240-250 plus shipping, and possible tax. This is still 106 after rebate and it is their entry level flat screen according to Samsungs website. At 1024 x 768, their recommended refresh is 85MHz which is fine and dot pitch is .20 mm horizontal. I suppose you get what you pay for, but this seems like a decent price, especially to the people that might not be able to buy the 19" 955DF since it's out of stock. >>
Wow, it still goes for $240+? I mean, it is a kick-a$$ monitor, but I would have thought it would be cheaper now. I didn't know it was their best 17" either. Yes $110 is a great price for a 17" flatscreen, but for the amount of time I spend looking at my monitor, I'm thankful I got one that supports 1280x1024 @89hz. And the 1600x1200 is nice for games.
Oh and I definitely recommend Samsung monitors. I've had mine for 2 years, and recently a couple little specs of the anti-glare coating came off, which was a relatively minor problem, but annoying none-the-less. So I called them up and because it came with a 3-yr warrantee they said they'd swap it with another one. I was worried about being w/o a monitor, but they sent it to mailboxes etc and i just went there and traded them. easy as pie.
