My favorite watering hole just put Summit Octoberfest on tap. Bless them and their $3/pint happy hours!

If any of you ever get to Minnesota or the surrounding area, try a Summit, esp one of their seasonals. Spot on. Those guys and the guys at Surley. I feel like I was destined to live in the Twin Cities!

Seen it at Walmart the other day but with them selling 12 packs of Yuengling for the past 6 weeks at $6.99 + tax + deposit, hard to not get that! I'll get some this weekend probably.

I'm not really a huge fan... with all the awesome local and regional beers in Seattle, Sam Adams isn't even on my list.

Fixed it for me. I have more than enough great beer to keep me happy year round without having to wait for something seasonal.

I might try this though, I'm always looking to try something new.

I live a short drive from the Stone Brewery and there are lots of other great brewers in Southern California, but I still know tasty beer when it touches my lips.

Octoberfest is pretty good.. but I've had much better pumpkin ale beers in the past. Not doggin on Sam Adams though, it's usually good if you only plan on drinking a couple.

You guys need to try PumKing and Schlafly Pumpkin Ale.

Also Dogfish Punkin' ale is a good pickup.

Oktoberfest isn't a pumpkin ale.

LOL I was going to post this thread last night. I don't even LIKE beer, I've had 2 or 3 that i like (a Raspberry Lambic, Sam's Octoberfest, and King Cobra). But I LOVE Sam's Octoberfest...fits autumn perfectly.

And its not dogging on Sam Adam's if you dislike octoberfest (oktoberfest) beers. It's really a 'type' of beer not so much some seasonal one brewery makes. I personally enjoy Paulaner more often than Sam Adams but the batch SA had two (or was it three?) years ago was really really good.
