And then they are marketing "greener" HDMI cables. Marketers are taking this "Green" buzzword waay to far.
Of course it's possible to make green HDMI cables. Use less plastic.

You know what would be greener? Not putting a small wire in 3 lbs of plastic packaging.
You can be greener by getting cables from a place like Home Depot or a computer store. Home Depot has lots of cat6 and USB cables that don't even have packages, and the cables at computer places usually just have a plastic bag.

Tritium injected cables FTW. Nearly as light as Helium and no trouble finding them in the dark!
Tritium is lighter than helium.

Tritium is lighter than helium.

By itself yes but it's not self illuminating. It's necessary to use a phosphor that glows when struck by beta radiation so the finished product would be heavier than just a helium injected product. The added bonus is it would be visible in the dark. Of course we're splitting hare here. 😉

Be sure to buy the extended warranty on all Nitrogen Filled Cables.

If they leak, you'll be out a lot more money having them stripped, acid dipped and re-plated. And good luck finding replacement Monster Brand Nitrogen.
