Safest food to order during a lunch interview?

...and go from there, after all odds are they are taking you there because they have been there before, or eat there often. After lunch if you want to butter them up express how good the meal you just had was.

Good one... I don't think I'll do the buttering up post-lunch, but that's a good question to ask prior to ordering.

I had a big interview with Ford once and it started as a group thing at a dinner table in the Ritz Carlton. They went around the table asking for drink orders and EVERYONE of those pansies ordered water/tea/milk. I was laughing my ass off inside and when they got to me I ordered a beer. About 15 min into the thing a guy showed up from a late flight and sat next to me.....looked around the table, looked at me and ordered a beer. After smooshing with the interviewers for about an hour and a half, drinking a few more beers, and finishing dinner we were instucted to go get a good night's sleep to be ready for the testing phase of the interview to begin early in the morning. The late guy and me said hell with that, got in the Ritz's limo and went to a strip club and proceded to drink till 2 AM.................

..............guess what? I was offered the job so I don't think you have to worry too much about what you order young lady.

Heh, nice... I doubt I'll be off to the strip club after this interview, but that was a great story. Congrats!

Thanks geckojohn, I certainly hope so. If I land this opportunity, a lot of doors will open... and I shouldn't be as financially strapped as I am now. Keep your fingers crossed!
