Safely transport a large container (slow cooker) of soup?

pour into some of those for the trip
double redundant latches + silicon seal..they don't leak or pop off
 
You guys don use liners like this?

What I would do is put the liner in, cook the soup, then when I wanted to transport, tape the liner to the lid so that even if things slosh around, the liner still contains it. Pull the tape from the lid when you get to the locale.

As a bonus, cleaning your slow cooker means just dumping whatever is in there out and throwing away the liner.
