Safely transport a large container (slow cooker) of soup?

I usually put stuff into a large stockpot when I need to move it by car.

Freeze it. Get to work early and thaw it in the slow cooker.

Unfortunately I don't have the money to replace things that technically don't need replacing.

I don't even wash my slow cooker. I just throw it away and buy a new one.

I'm going to have to transport it warm/hot and I'd rather not gum up my slow cooker with tape goobers.

You guys don use liners like this?

What I would do is put the liner in, cook the soup, then when I wanted to transport, tape the liner to the lid so that even if things slosh around, the liner still contains it. Pull the tape from the lid when you get to the locale.

As a bonus, cleaning your slow cooker means just dumping whatever is in there out and throwing away the liner.
