He has as good a chance as coming back as Owen.

You sick little boy. :disgust:

Benoit is suck. Don't know why they ever bother to promote him. He's got as much personality as gingivitis. Good good they rid of him.

It's true. Benoit has 0 personality. BUT they need to work with him and he will succeed.

Um yea but he has something that many people don't have, wrestling skills. Benoit is probably the best wrestler in the world right now.

I know this, but pro wrestling involves a LOT more than just pure wrestling skill.

He should also run to the ring like the Ultimate Warrior used to do and act all psychotic because we all love a nice weirdo.

I'm probably one of the few who missed WCW. For me any time slot will be fine. According to Meltzer, Monday's RAW will begin a "major invasion by WCW" leading up to July's PPV similiarly entitled "Invasion". Obviously, WCW will win the PPV and claim the TNN slot. Meltzer also claims this angle will shape the scope of wrestling since we will know whether this storyline can rejuvenate interest by the casual fan. My only wish is for WCW wrestlers not being forced to job to WWF mid-carders.

1wrestling.com's Scherer credibility did take a big hit last week when he claimed that Bret Hart would show up on tv in Canada. Basically, Scherer used a casual conversation noted in the Observer between Hart and a Canadian representative of the WWF as the core of his rumor. From the beginning, Meltzer stated the rumor had no basis of fact.

I don't see how Benoit can ever be popular. After all they've done to promote him, the fans everywhere except Canada still refuses to cheer for him. I think they're trying to turn the Dudlys bad, but they still recieved more cheers than Benoit on Smackdown.

I think WWF should bring back the geezer women and have the Dudly put them through a table. That was always fun to watch.

<< who cares the ultimate warrior sucked >>

He didn't suck, he was very popular back in the older days. He's just an idiot who messed things up with the Papa Shango/Undertaker/Jake the Snake mumbo jumbo.

Wasn't the Ultimate Warrior the only person to ever beat the Undertaker cleanly match after match after match?

When did Warrior ever beat Undertaker? If you're referring to house shows then maybe you're right..but I don't even think they've ever gone at it on PPVs.

And as for people that have beaten Undertaker consecutively, there's Foley (SS '96 and Buried Alive '96), Shawn (Badd Blood '97, Ground Zero '97, RR '98), and Bret (ONO '97, SS '97).

I'm sure there are others.

He was popular. Who cares. He sucked. He had as little wrestling ability as Hulk Hogan...maybe less. When I was little, I marked out when he showed up on the scene. I look back now and realize he blew.

He thinks he was and is wrestling. I was so happy that his last stint in the WWF (Wrestlemania 12) was extremely short...

Warrior did it more times than that in the old days and he never lost to him(I don't think). Always clearn pins. A few of the times when he beat the Undertaker, he used the tombstone to beat him.

I remember they had a feud back in the day. They had bodybag matches. I don't remember the Warrior beating UT in any of them...

From our friends at wrestling.ign.com :

Spring/Summer 1991

Undertaker locks Ultimate Warrior in a casket. The angle is shocking for its time. The two stars fight at house shows all over the country. For such a hyped feud, it surprisingly would never make PPV. Warrior's character becomes "traumatized" by the incident, leading him to enlist Jake Roberts as a mentor. Roberts, in a confusing heel turn, would lead Warrior into a room filled with snakes (part 3 of a strange angle that sees Jake try to help Warrior confront his fears). Undertaker and Bearer are in the room.

<< WWF/WCW - I thought that fad was over with >>

The WWF has been around since the early 80's and the NWA soon to be turned WCW has been around since the 60's--and pro wrestling in its original form has been around for over 100 years..why should they be gone anytime soon?

And here's a minor trivia question, do you know exactly when the WWF got their highest PPV Buyrate and highest attendance for an event ever was? It wasn't this year, it wasn't last year, it wasn't the year before and not even the year before that. It wasn't in the mid part of the last decade, it wasn't in the early part of the decade. It was in 1987 where they had 93,173 fans in the Pontiac Silverdome for Wrestlemania III. FOURTEEN years ago was when the product either peaked in terms of attendance, or when it first BOOMed.

Wrestling has been around for a long time, and will continue to stay around..possibly..forever.

Clarification:

1. The original NWA began in the late 40's.
2. TBS' NWA/WCW tv shows started in 1972.
3. Wrestlemania 3's attendance was approximately 74,000 paid or 78,000 in the arena. The 93,000 number is fictitious and is exaggerated in a manner similar to their wrestler's stated height and weight.
