"List Price $800" lol. Also, people are going to be pissed off for recently paying 15%++ over MSRP, and rightly so.

List price $800. What a joke. Sad thing is, I'm sure some buffoons fall for it. Just like how crap is priced $x.99 or $x.95. I guess they use the term "list price" because they can put any number there, whereas if they said MSRP, that might be considered fraud. Not a lawyer by any means, just my guess.

It available here to since about 1 week. I waited a bit but jumped the gun on saturday. Price was $40 over price at launch. During the few day waiting the RAM kit got $20 cheaper. Guess not too bad in total. Should arrive today. (Board, 3900x, RAM, nvme ssd and a ton of accessories like pressurized air, AM4 mount, new paste,... and god forbid a windows 10 copy. Cost way too much for the fact I'm reusing old case, PSU and GPU.

Doing the same kind of upgrade. Prices on the 3900X are driving me a bit nuts, so I may just settle for a 3700X for now

I almost got the 3700x because of the supply issues and because I don't really need a 3900x. But well that's the bonus of living in the west. $200 more for something I will use for at least 5 years a lot is an after thought. i mean I pay more per month on healthcare.

Down to $560 at amazon, and still available
Thanks, just saw that yesterday. I was originally put it in my wish list, hesitantly, at Newegg for $699, hoping it would drop. Prices seem to keep jumping around. AMD said they had no problem getting wafers, so sometime soon the increase in wafer starts will make it to the consumer market. So I may hold off till November's Black Friday sales. I’ve put off upgrading for a few years, so it won’t kill me to wait a bit longer - and, maybe I can convince my wife to up my budget ;)

Hate to see what the 3950X winds up selling for for.

Honestly probably $750. Depending on how they sell, I can see them going up in price quicker then the 3900x when they realize stock will be tight. But I am guessing if you can get in on early orders you will pay msrp.

I'm not sure who said what you quoted, but that wasn't from me.

OK, something good is happening. Not much of a decrease, but now 558.89 and available on amazon.

and on newegg, the 3800x is 389.99, not 400

Mindfactory must have gotten 90% of Europe delivery, they still have it in stock for a very good price.

Here in Czech republic shops showed short period of availability, everything is gone again except from two shops, where they sell it overpriced.

It is really funny that those retailers must comfort themselves that they are not selling overpriced goods, Microcenter claims that $550 is after $50 discount from $600.

Nothing in UK retailers still, it's getting on my nerves, still haven't got my preorder since July! Amazon has it at 600-700£ from random shops.. Might as well cancel and go threadripper once they're out, but it seems like they might price that up high to begin with from all the demand which will suck.

It's happening everywhere, except for Best Buy. Their stock runs out quick.

It currently shows as " Not for individual sale " on the website. Not sure what's up with that. Maybe they're going to bundle(s)?

Given, what appears to be, an escalating demand curve - AMD may not be able to elevate supply sufficiently for many months to come for their top binned cpus.

More like someone picked the wrong tag. I guess anything is possible though.

Wonder how long those will last. Good thing for anyone that manages to get one at MSRP!

Is the demand from the builders growing? The Dell's, etc., of the world - are they switching over to AMD CPU's or are they still in Intel's backpocket?
