In stock at amazon for 499.99 for how long I don't know.

Edit, like I need a hole in my head, but I just ordered number 3.

Yep, I ordered one for my X370 board. I've been waiting a long time to get one that didn't require F5 fingers.

It has been nearly two weeks since I posted this topic, any new development?

In my country it is still out of stock everywhere except at one retailer, which overpriced it by equivalent of almost 100 USD.

In Germany Mindfactory claims they they sold over 2200 pcs. of 3900X, did they mention anywhere how many of these they already shipped? If not, can anybody (preferably local) ask them?

Same in the US, I just checked Newegg and Amazon. I can't remember the last time AMD was selling so many chips it had such a supply problem. Good for them. I'm sure they are fabbing them as fast as they can but it looks like they didn't expect this much demand. Hopefully it settles down soon but I'd guess it'll take about another month before that happens.

Don't forget to check Bestbuy as they've been getting them in stock. Online goes quick, but they also stock them in store. In my not so local area they show 3 in stock currently. Funny thing is they're down in the same area as the only Microcenter in CA.

The lone Microcenter in CA is still showing 10+ in stock. They have been showing this going on a week now.

Big online sellers will sell out quickly when available.

Just checked, "Not available within 250 miles". I even checked a few places I used to live, same thing.

I got a back in stock from neweggg yesterday morning, but by the time I read it (one hour later) they were OOS again.

I have not received my R9 3900X yet since 6 weeks of ordering. I get a date now that I might get on the second week of September.
I might as well cancel it and get the 3950X if it is already there.

Another thought: If AMD should use the two chiplet Ryzen assembly line/s for something primarilly, it would be for 3950X. I predict they will flood the market with 3950X cpus after launch, with 3900X remaining in short supply.

Looks like AMD only made a few thousand 3900x's and mabe only a few hundred 3950x's are coming.
.
That sucks.
Mabe they didnt expect to sell that many or mabe it's the "**special**" binning?! They have been hard to buy since July 11th, you would think by now they would be flooding the market 6 weeks later.

While I agree that they are not making enough of them, why do you pull numbers like that from nowhere?

Mindfactory alone has already sold over 2,230 in Germany. That's one site in one country (that doesn't sell outside of Germany) - there is no way they had more than a couple precent of the chips - this alone shows that they definitely must have made over 10K

Sold (or just accepted orders), but NOT DELIVERED! The number you see are not delivered CPUs! That is why I already wrote that it would be interesting to know the number of really delivered CPUs.

Are you sure that they're inflating their sales numbers with unresolved pre-orders? I've looked at the shipments that went to shopblt and they're quite large. Thousands of CPUs to their facilities.

According to their current estimates, they have 8000 going to their TN warehouse by 10/8. These things are selling like crazy.
