Take a close look at the Ryzen 2 slide at 08:20 in this video — some remarkable specs, prices and schedule. Too good to be true, so probably fake. Strangely, no one mentions it in the comment section. I've tried to find other sources for this slide, but none shows up.

Does it read:

Ryzen 7 2700- 10 Cores/20 threads- 4.0 GHz/4.5 GHz Replaces Ryzen 7 1700

Ryzen 7 2800 12 Cores/24 threads- 4.4 GHz/4.9 GHz Replaces Ryzen 7 1700X

Ryzen 7 2800X 12 Cores/24 threads- 4.6 GHz/5.1 GHz Replaces Ryzen 7 1800X

?

If so that will be quite a jump in performance alright, and before intel is going to be releasing their 8 core chips. That would sure take the steam out of intel's plans for the year.

The slide does look official but who knows.

I can just *pray* that slide is official. If it is, WOW, AMD has done it again! 12C/24T, at around 5Ghz? HOT! I want one... or several. :) (Probably the 2800.)

Where did KitGuru got this?

If this is true - now we know why Intel rushed their Coffee Lake release. It competely destroys EVERYTHING we have seen to this day in terms of Value, and possibly - performance.

It reads for Ryzen 7 2700 12 cores/24 Threads.

I don't think that is a fake slide, but I have trouble reading what it says though. If it is like piesquared guessed above than it is bye bye intel :)

Main question: is this AM4??? If yes , then RIP.

Guys, again IF this slide is true, Its very hard to comprehend how far behind Intel is with their offerings.

KitGuru would publish something faked? Have they done something like this before, or got it by mistake?

Well supposedly it is AM4, because already we have got hints about BIOS updates for upcoming CPU lineups from AMD.

12 cores is easier to believe than a 5.1GHz boost clock. Sceptical, but crossing my fingers.

Leo hasn't said anything that we didn't knew already, but he published this slide, which caused massive... disruption in perception. So lets not get carried away and overhyped.

God, let this to be true...

After all it would make sense: Ryzen 7 - 12 core, Ryzen 5 - 6, and 8 core CPUs, Ryzen 3 - 4 Core with Hyper Threading.

It's probably a joke, an attempt to provoke those dumber repost sites into embarassing themselves.
12 cores would be very unexpected (and unlikely), the clocks likely aren't possible either.

The question I have though, is: are the dates possibly legit?

(I assume they didn't get fooled by some photoshopping troll.)

P.S. From my publishing-world experience, most journalists wouldn't get slides in such an advance (month and half before the preorders), unless it was supposed to be announced in december. Possible? Dunno. And then if KitGuru was in the special circle, I doubt they would reveal them, barring perhaps AMD telling them to.

So the much more likely explanations are 1) they faked it themselves as a joke, as said above 2) they received it from some faker. In either of these options, the contents are fake, so just don't count on any of this at all, people! Chances are minuscule (<1%).

This cannot be correct. Those jumps are huge in both cores and clock speed.

Also, I know that this is digging about possibility of this information to be correct, however, remember FUDzilla's rumor, that Next Generation EPYC CPUs will be 48 core?

Well, 4 dies having 12 core CPU create 48 core monster...

Those are very old rumours based on Feb 2016 slides leaked by videocardz.

https://videocardz.com/69428/amd-snowy-owl-naples-starship-grey-hawk-river-hawk-great-horned-owl

canard pc is now saying 64C/128T , 256 MB L3, 8ch x DDR4 3200 for 7nm Rome.

https://hothardware.com/news/amd-epyc-2-64-cores-128-threads-and-256mb-l3-cache

Zen server has no 12nm refresh. The next refresh for Zen in server is 7nm Rome in H1 2019.

I still think that we will not see more than 8 cores with Pinnacle Ridge though clocks and ST perf are going to be very competitive against Coffeelake.

50% more cores and 1GHz higher base clocks ??? at what TDP ??? 95W ???

If those specs are legit I will buy a 8 Core R6 next summer.

its fake "12nm" chip will be an optical shrink of zeppelin.
Yeah even AMD's official slides (though before the "12nm" announcment) refer to Pinnacle Ridge as a performance uplift of "Summit Ridge" architecture. I don't know why people here are getting so carried away on the expectations of Zen+/Ryzen 2. It's not going to have more cores or more cache. It's not going to have any changes to IF. There will be some tweaks here and there but basically a move to a slightly better process that will allow it to scale higher on clock speeds. Anyone expecting anything more is going to be very very very disappointed.

This slide has to be ps/trolling. I can believe the 2019 7nm Ryzen 2 will have similar specs but no way in 2 months time and on 12nm (ala 14nm) and why wouldn't he analyze the info in the video if they have such a valuable slide. Plus no way AMD would have the launch date and pricing set already in november.

Well the core increase would definitely take the steam out of any Intel offering even if it stays with frequencies 3.6-3.8Ghz - that would maybe even work with 12nm @ 95W TDP.

However 12nm with 12c and 4.6Ghz base @ 9w TDP - NO WAY. Only with 7nm at the end of 2018 or early 2019

Is a CCX 30mm2..?

If so they can add one within the same die area as Zeppelin thanks to 12nm 15% better density...
