ryan seacrest made me cry this morning

On the radio they had a girl on the phone who adopted an abandoned baby and was struggling to make it. He gave her a big gift for Christmas, and then said goodbye. But before hanging up, he gave her another, and another, and another, and another and the bombardment of kindness was too much to bear, and the tears started streaming down my face, yet even then, he gave her another, and another and another.
Gifts like $500 to clothing stores, $500 worth of groceries, gifts for the boy, $1,000 in cash, money for other stores, tickets to events to take the kid, a girl's night out for her, and I leaked from my face. When was the last time you leaked?

reminds me of those youtube pranksters that make videos about helping out the homeless out of kindness of their good hearts.

the video then gets millions of views, making them bank.

I think the last time I was brought to tears was when I saw the Verlander / Kate Upton pictures. That was beautiful.

What nunnery did they pull you out of for this stuff to make you cry?

I barely read past your first sentence because I was so bored.

Yeah, it's cool that rich people can give so much money to others that is nothing more than mere pennies to them.

If I could give pennies to someone and give them as much pleasure I'd do it too.

Seacrest gets a fair bit of crap for being, well, Seacrest but he's actually a pretty good dude and worked hard as hell to get where he is.

Hmmmm, when was the last time your wife was over... let me think....

😀

This is why I like you. Not many friendships are strong enough to endure the fucking of each other's wives. Since you aren't married though, pass me that shit you've been seeing. That'll do, pig. That'll do.

I like you, too! Anytime I feel like my thoughts are weird, or that I'm an oddball, I just think of any one of your many posts.

Thank you!

Also, I've lost so much weight since I took your incredible weight loss advice. I'm TOTALLY RIPT NAO!

I might be one sick son of a bitch, but I will never have the ability to save you in this capacity.

Okay, so I know this isn't the point of the thread but why was someone without the resources to properly care for a baby allowed to adopt it? Something doesn't make sense here.

But lets look at what he did...he gave a bunch of stuff to someone, stuff that his company probably got for free or greatly reduced cost for promotional purposes. Never mind the fact, at least according to google, he is making over $50 million a year and is probably worth at least $200 million dollars. He could have personally gave her a million dollars and it would not have impacted his lifestyle in the slightest.

It is his money and he is free to do it with it what he wants. If he keeps it all for himself, that is fine, it doesn't make him a bad person. But when I see people gush over wealthy celebs or business people because they donate an inconsequential amount of their time and/or money to a charity or individual it just leaves me puzzled.

I was going to ask the same thing but I didn't want to be too cynical ... lol.
