Stock FD's dont trap 107mph there sweetheart, hate to break it to you. He claimed to be stock. I know he has at least a downpipe, if not an ECU to go with it.

BTW, my name is Darren.......I am the owner/driver of the white notch in that video. I am glad to see the video making its rounds. What is funny, the RX7 owner swears I have a cam and who knows what else......truth is, the valve covers have never been off. The car has 147,000 miles, and even is sporting the 3.08 in the back still. I guess some people just cant accept being beat at their own game. He posts on Underground Forums.....and watch for the video his little crew put out.....claiming his car to be stock and my car to be cammed with nitrous. Hell I took the damn bottle out of the car right in front of him, he KNOWS I wasnt spraying.

Yes he has excuses but its also reasons why he lost. And the mustang guys agreee the foxbody wasnt stock from that link you provided.......

the guy in the FD claims the other guy was spraying... do you think he's spraying? so he inspects the car himself... 😕 and says that his car runs like sh*t when its humid and says he can pull on cars that do 107 traps... just sounds to me like he's being a sore loser.
 
Anybody here know anything about "wet nos"? If he had a long enough hose, and even if he removed the bottle, there's still enough in there to give him just enough juice for that run.
 
The ricer isn't too bright and doesn't know much about cars, which is common among ricers, because using trap speeds to judge cars when running from a 45 punch is useless.

bullshit, no bottle, no line pressure.

Also btw, you ever heard of a purge valve? When people with nitrous purge, the lines are mostly full of air, and you basically prefill the lines with nitrous. It shaves off like one or two tenths at best. Using that, take a guess how much nitrous the line can hold even at full pressure.

I think the Camaro had lost to the Acura.

The taillights on the other car looked like a CL, not a Camaros.

That and the guys in the "accura" sounded awfully white.

Oh.. as far as the no bottle no pressure comment, he stuck it up his butt and farted while dragging. That would push whatever nos he had in the line to the manifold, and be sufficient for that run.
 
Eh, I dont put much weight in it either way. The RX lost, the guy knew he lost. He gave some excuses. The foxbody owner could have been lying. I just read a link about how someone claimed something like +50 HP from a catback and intake. Everyone wanted dyno sheets to see. Well, after many pages of argueing come to find out the truck also had a few other upgrades, including an ECU reprogram and a handful of other mods.

So, the foxbody owner could very well be lying. I dont give a damn either way. Its very very simple.....

Run what ya brung, and hope ya brung enough.
 
Nope, that 5.0 wasn't spraying. Listen to the tone of the engine the entire time. NOS has an abrupt HIT to it, you HEAR it when it hits. Sounds like a sore loser of a ricer to me.

As for the Fox, I do think he had something else up his sleeve for a 147k car that pulls on the highway like that. But thats besides the point. Maybe its just a factory freak.
