Just when I think you can't be any dumber, you go and tell a busload of swimsuit models that there is a town just 2 miles down the road in the wrong direction.

Someone seems butt-hurt. Probably because I just showed how stupid leftists are.

Potassium is an essential nutrient for life. We'd all be better Americans if we all ate more bananas and fewer potato chips.

I don't know, some would scream "Oh my god that's racist! I'm outraged!" While I would scream "Oh my god they put no original thought into their insult!"

...kinda thinking the same thing here. :D

Notice the key words.

Comparing Bush to monkey is all fun and games. But compare his successor to a monkey and you are an evil racist.

Liberal hypocrisy at its finest.

And also shouldn't it be only half-racist since Obama is only half-black?

no, it's just your failure to understand...anything.

Yes, a simple person would, indeed, see these comparisons and scream "hypocrisy!"

An educated person would see these comparisons and understand the difference. Not saying that it's the greatest thing ever, even to insult Bush in this manner--but there is a very real difference in the implication. To outright deny that is to profess a certain type of cultural ignorance.

You are only making the assumption that there is a difference in intent of these "insults". Is there an established history of Russians using monkey as a racial slur for black people? The imagine of Obama eating a banana is such a tame racial insult anyway. Why not have him eating a watermelon or any other stereotype associated with black people? Are you even sure Russians don't go around calling everyone they view as ignorant a monkey?

The apologists should move to Russia, since they are outraged over this act being viewed as anything bad.

So would you have thought it was fine for Democrats to call Bush a ni**er for 8 years?

Does this answer your 'concern'?

"Rodnina posted a racist, doctored photo of Barack and Michelle Obama on Twitter just five months ago. The tweet, which has since been deleted, caused a stir when Rodnina first posted it on Sept. 13, 2013. The photo depicted the Obamas sitting together at an event, the president with his mouth apparently full of food. In the photo Rodnina tweeted, an image of a banana had been superimposed onto the foreground of the photo, making it seem as though the Obamas were staring intently at the piece of fruit. In some parts of Europe, including Russia, it’s not uncommon for black soccer players to be insulted with fruit and monkey sounds by fans at matches."

In recent survey, Moscow Protestant Chaplaincy found that over half of Africans in Moscow had been physically attacked in the past.[24] Attacks in Moscow Metro are common, and “Monkey” insults are so frequent that students have ceased reporting them.

But that isn't racist.......at least according to some of our local stormfront aficionados in this thread.

wait wait, are there really people in this thread trying to argue this WASN'T a blatant attempt at racism?

seriously?

i think it's more like people just want to argue for the sake of arguing.. debate mode if you will... argue that the skys not blue and such.

It could be gray if it's overcast. Black with little white freckles if it's night. Red, orange and/or purple if it's sundown. Green if it's aurora borealis or australis time...

Let's just admit the sky is not blue and call it a day.

Oh yeah the banana thing? Totally racist. Though...come to think of it...aren't we all one race? The human race?
