Russian Students put on a Racist Bday laser show about Obama

I don't know, some would scream "Oh my god that's racist! I'm outraged!" While I would scream "Oh my god they put no original thought into their insult!"
 
This could be actually a very useful tool for anti-government protesters in Russia. Right now, their banners are torn down by police, but if they set up a laser projector somewhere hard to reach, they can get an effect of much bigger banner for a lot longer. Especially if they can mount it on a drone, and just hop to another place when the cops show up.
 
I can't watch the video, but how is Obama eating a banana racist? Is it racist now to depict any person of color eating a banana? Do humans no longer consume bananas after evolving out of the primate stage? I guess I didn't get the memo... Better throw out all those bananas I got lying around.

Next up, saying black people like fried chicken is now racist. Of course some black people like it; it is delicious! Have any of you tasted fried chicken? Every race likes that shit!
 
Russia is notoriously racist..... it's pretty much a country of all whites... i think like less than 70k blacks total in all of russia...

Yes, let's pretend that pairing a black person with a banana isn't widely considered racist. This concept is new to me, let's explore the logic because I have never heard this 1000 times before. 🙄

I suspect the Russians dislike of Obama has little to do with race. What it does do is provide another means to piss others off.

Right, because pairing a white guy with a banana is widely considered not racist because whites have never been considered sub-human to the extent that black people used to be.

Bush just happens to look like a monkey.. if you dont remember, that's what all those jokes were about... he actually looks alot like a monkey, and makes alot of monkey looking expressions...

like the new picture of Michelle faces next to monkey faces.... that was originally a bush joke as well.... there was the exact same "meme" going around back then.

Are you trying to suggest that Obama doesn't also contain feature that could be considered "monkey like" other than his skin color?

Basically, calling a white guy a monkey is just fine. Calling a black guy one, however, is super racist!


The real question is: why the fuck is this news? Who gives a shit what some Russian dude with a computer and a projector does? Guess what? In the time it took me to write this post, a bunch of Americans called Obama racial slurs (one in particular, I'm sure). Where are the headlines?
