I think it's safe to say the past Russian and Azeri relationship is dead at this point.
Ukrainian journalist Olena Kurbanova gifted Azeri president Aliyev with a display of Ukrainian combat unit chevrons, which he accepted, and it seems the Kremlin has shat several bricks over it.
