If Russia continues like that, the next step is biological weapons, that could lead directly into a war.
Russia is not going to use biological weapons, which are even less effective than chemical weapons in a military sense. If you make a weapon infectious enough to cause your enemy problems there is a very good chance that weapon is coming back your way in short order whether you like it or not.

I guess the idea that bioweapons are a good idea presumes that the state in question already has produced a countermeasure, a la Outbreak (1995), it alone controls. The reality is that once you release such a thing you lose control and mutations could render such a countermeasure ineffective. Also if you have not supplied the countermeasure to nations with nuclear arsenals...well.

An update on Russia's remaining aircraft carrier... which has been in the docks for some years now...

oh noes... 👍

Seeing that decrepit hulk actually at sea, and without a fleet of tug boats, was the least believable part of the last Mission Impossible movie.

And somehow deployed to the Pacific lmao. Unless the Russians invented a transporter not happening. The farthest she's ever sailed is Syria.

Nah. Chemical weapons wouldn’t be very effective for us.
Why, are conventional cluster munitions more effective at depopulating Russian cities?
Even captured ones, acting as military hubs full of Russian troops and logistics.

Meanwhile...
Russia's shadow fleet is spilling oil and crushing the island of Cyprus.

Russian oil is killing Cyprus

Under sanctions and with fake documents, these ships transfer oil from ship to ship near the coast of Limassol. These extremely complex and dangerous operations are always accompanied by oil spills that pollute the sea and the coast.
The beaches that Cyprus was proud of are now polluted with Russian oil. The Mediterranean Sea has become unsuitable for swimming due to Russian oil spilled on its surface.

I mean if the idea is terror weapons designed to render their cities uninhabitable why not just use incendiaries?

I'm a "NO" on the chemical weapons. We're already really fucking good at killing enemies with the kinetic weapons we already have. No real reason to go down that road.

I absolutely hated getting MOPP'ed up. The distorted parallax you get from the angle on the lens to the eye frustrated me to no end when it came to sending hot messages out to the baddies. And walking around like a constipated blind duck creeped me out, felt like having a bullseye painted on my chest and the back of my head. Never got used to that PPE. Some commercial gear came closer to being a functional shooter. May as well Rambo your rounds downrange. Was really effective when the intended target was within a bayonet lunge or two. /s

I guess the Swiss have been informed their Patriot order will be delayed. They ordered 5 batteries in 2023. Unclear if this represents backfill for more immediate transfers or systems that will be sent to Ukraine also.

Extra spicy if you had to wear it anywhere hot. I did that shit in SC for years, it was miserable for our once-a-year suit-up.

Big shukran to Qatar, as they have assisted in the return of 11 more Ukrainian children to their families. Zelenskyy's Bring Kids Back program continues, will probably outlast the war. Still thousands of kidnapped Ukrainian civilians (children and adults) being held against their will in Russia. I hope they can be saved from lives of misery, destined for breeding stock, labor and cannon fodder.

Once again, fuck the orcs and slava Ukraini

Ny guess is it is a north korean from the body shape.

Also (not linking article) but Ukraine received some tanks from Austrailia a couple of days ago - not sure how many.

They are to receive 49 M1A1s. Most have been delivered, reportedly.

I think it's safe to say the past Russian and Azeri relationship is dead at this point.

Ukrainian journalist Olena Kurbanova gifted Azeri president Aliyev with a display of Ukrainian combat unit chevrons, which he accepted, and it seems the Kremlin has shat several bricks over it.

Can't let that stand, so:

"Russian state TV has aired a new "exposé": it turns out that Azerbaijani special services, "using their diasporas in Russia, assisted Ukrainian intelligence in carrying out the sabotage-terrorist operation Spiderweb, which aimed to strike Russia's strategic air force."

Time to torture some more Azeri to death Putin, maybe shoot down another one of their airliners? That'll learn'em.

Let us hope that influence extends to Turkey.
Extending olive branches to secure opposition to Russia is a keen diplomatic priority.
A means of weakening Russia's war machine - absent the usual bloodshed needed to achieve it.

Turkey and Azeries are allies.
So... if Russia wants to not get screwed with them, must move Georgia to be the sacrifice since Albania is screwed too.

Hmm, the exact same plan that MAGA has unfurled for this country. Thanks, you fucking shitfuck Trump supporters.
This is really dark... they want a child farm with their own citizens.
