Russians trying to gain as much territory as possible before a probable ceasefire early next year. Though at the high cost of their country’s demographic future. The country is pretty deeply fucked long term and getting worse to claim lands that no Russian actually has any use for. In the end the whole thing is probably the worst strategic disaster since Barbarossa.

They've already gained the territory that really counts - the White House.
(I misspelled that as "Whitehouse", and the spell checker suggested "whorehouse")

That’s not likely to solve their problems either. They have overextended in every conceivable way. Syrian rebels have retaken Aleppo and the Russians don't have the resources to help Assad like last time. And Wagner is getting themselves dead in Africa in large numbers.

That's the most appropriate nom de guerre I've ever heard Trump and his cronies taking over the White House being described as. Funny how fate and karma work hand in hand to expose the realities of life.

It is amusing that a successful 3 day SMO was conducted in Syria but it was by the rebels against Assad lol.

Edit: uh apparently insurgents are advancing on Hama? And Assad is in Moscow. And the Russians are worried about Tartus. So like did the SAA just evaporate?

Long thread on the use of personal and donated vehicles in the Russian army and how they basically can't get by without them. The army recently ordered all such vehicles confiscated (and drivers sent on meat assaults) creating a great deal of anger and major transport issues because they just don't have the required vehicles to issue. I'd read elsewhere that the drunk driving issues with these have been simply enormous and are the main reason for the change.

They only have to cling to life for 2 more months.

Rebels just basically walked in and took Aleppo without a fight. Assad might not have that kind of time. Putin is watching his economy and military crumble in front of his eyes while Assad is probably making contingency escape plans. There will be no Russian military rescue this time and they both know it.

Assad is, AFAIK, in Moscow right now. The moaning on Russian telegram channels is epic.

I dont know, how many Russians with Mosins in Ukraine right now? If fighting there were to stop suddenly they'd simply relocate.

As for the Russian economy, US sanctions could go bye bye on day one.

The way things appear to be going in Syria at the moment a couple months would be much too long of a wait for the regime.

Appears the parliament building in Tbilisi is on fire.

Everything going wrong for the Kremlin everywhere at the same time lol.

Except in Amerikkka

We can only hope Trump is transactional and maybe the US/ NATO can offer him a better deal than Putin.

Yeah I think the al Assad regime might be finally fucked this time. Syrians are pulling down statues, Russians and Assad's people both fleeing Syrian bases.

Feels like many places all at once are about done with Putin. Those Georgians don't seem very pleased. C'mon Moldovans, keep it rollin. Stuff like this keeps happening and Kadyrov's gonna slap on his big boy pants one day, get loud, get independent, give Uncle Vova the business.

Regardless of what Trump offers Ukraine, it seems that Ukraine will not be left alone;

Russia has to finance a genocide project, so they think it would be nice if the Eurasian countries they trade with could cancel duties on potatoes, onions and cabbages.

What's the matter Putin, can't feed your people Sarmats and Oreshniks?

Btw Vlad, your Cuban friends ran out of jet fuel and can't run many generators. How are you guys on coconuts?

Trump wants to be the hero who saved thousands of Russian soldiers lives because he certainly isn't saving any American ones, and oh yeah, he'll also be saving those hordes and legions of evil Nazi fascists in Ukraine just by coincidence for that matter. And so what if Zelenskyy has to end up with the shitty end of the stick while Putin gets the gilded end thanks to Trump wanting to get some personal revenge on that Nazi comedian in Ukraine who happens to be the twinkle in Biden's and NATO's eyes. Trump will make things right for himself and then some you bet'cha.

Trump and the folks who voted for him will finally get that sweet revenge on Ukraine because that whistleblower exposed that infamous "missiles for dirt on Biden" scandal Trump got himself humiliated over and make Putin like him back even more than before. And those millions of people who voted for him will be totally oblivious to it all because hey, a win is a win is a win and that's all that really mattered, so back to bitching and moaning about....well, it can't be about the economy any more, or the illegals crossing over down south, or the rising cost of milk and eggs or anything that really really really mattered when Biden/Harris was in charge, even if Trump does nothing about those things or makes things even worse than before.

Can't fix stupid, or change the minds of racists like Trump, or unfuck the minds of those FOX freak-outs. May as well look forward to the next midterms and plan ahead for the next Russian aided and abetted disinformation campaign that's sure to follow.

I hope Ukraine will still be putting up a hell of a good fight in those two years that Trump will be trying to fuck them over.

edit - modified last sentence.
