EU curbing Russia’s ability to export oil with ban on insuring ships.
Yes I agree we would still have homelessness, but still seeing $50 billion sent out the door to fund another country's war...I just don't see how so many people can blindly support this...
And now Joe Biden has sent troops to Somalia? For what? How many more are our weapons going to kill in this quest for imperialism? The military industrial complex needs more money after the windfall from Ukraine? What a joke this country is.
But why do we have to do that? Why can't the African nations deal with it?
If you wish to end the war quickly, and believe Russia will win, you're welcome to grab a rifle, head to Russia, and join their conscript army. I'm sure they'll be happy to let you in, and maybe you can soak up another Ukrainian mortar or bullet. It won't be. Russia is winning this war and already has nearly half of the Donbass region in control. Once they control all of it, they will declare victory and hopefully this stupid war and its funding of it will come to an end.
I thought Lloyds had gone belly up years ago. It's good to be rich enough to stick all your liabilities in a box and throw them in the ocean.EU curbing Russia’s ability to export oil with ban on insuring ships.

Let's not forget that this deployment of special forces came at the request of Somalia's government to help combat Al Shabab and is not just some random adventurism.
Or Somalia is adjacent to major shipping lanes and some key regional allies, like Kenya, and stopping piracy and the potential for a new hotbed of terrorism and piracy is in our (and general international) interest.Doesn't mean we have to help them does it? And why send troops? This sounds like the more reasonable explanation:
It's either that, or Somalia has some sort of natural resources we want access to. Anyone ever wonder why out of all of the nations in central and South America, we always seem to only pick on Venezuela? Think this has something to do with it?
The US has been involved in at least 3 coup attempts to oust Maduro. Anyone remember all of the talk regarding Juan Guido being the 'true' president of Venezuela? He was nothing more than a puppet of the US government.
So I guess stating an opinion on who will win the war somehow means I am cheerleading/patriotic for Russia?. If anything, it is the keyboard warriors in this thread who are cheering for Ukraine that should be the ones signing up since they are the ones sympathetic to their cause, not me.

I think it's more your want for Russia to hurry up and get what they want so you can get back to not being inconvenienced than your opinion on who may win what. I think it's plausible that Russia could consolidate enough of the Donbass to declare victory and even hold it long enough to set up the DNR as more than a complete fiction. However, I think aggression of this kind from an authoritarian rival needs to be checked, and I'll pay more for gas if that's the cost.
The United States Empire should definitely stop invading sovereign countries. As far as I know, Biden hasn't invaded any countries.Actually my reasoning is to end the bloodshed. Funny how the ones who are usually calling for war are the ones who don't have to be inconvenienced by it's consequences. The Lindsey Grahm, John Bolton types, and unfortunately many here on AT. And $20 billion in weapon aid is just pumping more oxygen into the fire.
And speaking of aggression that needs to be checked, kind of like how:
-We invaded Iraq and killed over a million people in the process
-Invaded Afghanistan and stayed there 10 years longer than we should have with generals knowing this war couldn't be won
-Supporting the Maidon coup attempt in Ukraine back in 2014 with one of our own diplomats choosing the next president of Ukraine in a leaked phone call
-Trying out oust Maduro at least 3 times during the Trump administration
-Supply Saudi Arabia with weapons so they can bomb the shit out of Yemen
-Crusing the Iranian economy with sanctions
-Bombing the shit out of Syria and currently occupying 1/3rd of their country. BTW can you guess which part of Syria we're currently occupying? Of course where the oil production is
-Almost forgot supporting a coup to get Ghaddafi out of power in Libya, which was once considered a prosperous country, is now a country with slave markets
We should look in the mirror as a country before we go around calling others 'aggressors'.
This (and much of your list in general) reads like straight Russian propaganda. Just because we supported a people's revolution to oust a Russian puppet government doesn't mean we actively took part in instigating it. Anyway, why is imperialism okay if it's Russia doing it to its neighbors?-Supporting the Maidon coup attempt in Ukraine back in 2014 with one of our own diplomats choosing the next president of Ukraine in a leaked phone call
Fuck man, how can you not be sympathetic to a group of people defending themselves? Do you also just suggest rape victims lay down and take it? Go play in traffic. So I guess stating an opinion on who will win the war somehow means I am cheerleading/patriotic for Russia?. Because he's a propagandist. If he's not being paid for it, he's doing Russia's social media work for free. This (and much of your list in general) reads like straight Russian propaganda. That's not to say that actions the US has taken are all hunky-dory, but let's try to keep some perspective and not resort to whataboutisms.
But are they surviving or are the Vlads taking them out as quickly as they arrive?
Yeah this wasn’t a good look in 1939 and isn’t a good look in 2022.Yes I agree we would still have homelessness, but still seeing $50 billion sent out the door to fund another country's war...I just don't see how so many people can blindly support this...
EU will not be able to withstand prolonged energy/food price increases for much longer. And Russia will continue to soldier on as long as EU is paying them for energy.
Their objective should have been to take the Donbass region to begin with. They got cocky and thought they could take it all. They will gladly take the Donbass region and call it quits(hopefully).
It's pretty sad to see so many people in this thread propagandized into supporting this war and the funding of it. I guess that is expected when you hear everyone on mainstream news cheering for Ukraine and sending them whatever we can while not one single pundit is pushing/calling for a peace deal. Chomsky wrote a book on it called 'Manufacturing Consent' and that is exactly what the media is going. If you don't want to read the book, here is a quick summary of it:
$50 billion for Ukraine while we have people sleeping under bridges. Hopefully one day we can live in a world where we are not printing money to police the rest of the world.

Oh man, you are really not paying attention.
