Quite different orders of magnitude, though. We forcibly sterilized hundreds of people. The Nazis and USSR murdered over ten million each.
Sorry, but no, you don't get to whitewash American history like that. That you want to ignore the genocide we perpetrated against native tribes, well, sorry fuck that shit. We have our own horrible past to atone for. In fact the Nazis literally fucking took our playbook for basically their entire apparatus based on what we did to native tribes and others.
The Nazi's were like a bad tv-spinoff of America.

In the 1930s, the Germans were fascinated by the global leader in legal racism—the United States.

And lest you think that was ancient history, look up our history since the Nazis. We had "observers" that played a major role in the genocides perpetrated in various areas around the world (Indonesia comes to mind, but its not the only one). We absolutely murdered tens of thousands at least in multiple wars. We stood by (giving a nod...) and watched as millions of others were murdered in the same way the Soviets and Nazis purged their societies in different countries.
The British killed tens of millions of people all over the globe (tens of million in India alone due to brutal governance policies alone). Japan murdered tens of millions of Chinese people.
Also, the USSR sacrificed millions of their own people to stop the Nazis. Without that, WWII would have gone very differently. Americans wanna act like we saved the day. The Soviets were responsible for like 90% of the Nazi casualties.
History is a little more complex than Americans want to accept. We've had blood on our hands the whole time we've existed. And we wouldn't have our own country were it not for others coming here and helping us fight. Not just the French either.
