Russia & China vs USA.

Their conventional forces combined still wouldn't stand a chance. The problem would be what would come after.

In a land war there, their conventional forces would be VERY formidable. Quantity is a quality all its own and our supply lines would be too long. We could not beat them in a land war on their home turf, they know it and we know it. And they cannot even begin to think about fighting anywhere else as China doesn't have the navy or air power necessary to move the battlefield. So it's kind of a Mexican standoff, we can't go after them, they can't come after us. And that's why this is all just rhetoric, we're not going to intervene in the Ukraine no matter what.

And yeah, eventually the visiting team would start losing and think about escalating things since they wouldn't be trashing their own homes.

The US would quickly destroy both Russias and China's navies. Russia, iirc, only has like one ballistic sub and a handful of hunter/killers. Since they would have no way of attacking us in the US conventionally and our command of the seas, we could attack one at a time and defeat them in series.

Why not? With overwhelming air power, a smaller, more mobile and agile invading ground force with superior firepower will not be overrun or its supply lines threatened. It would probably take around a week or 2 for the U.S. to severely cripple Russia or China's fighting ability and not much long after to eliminate it.

I concur the US could be beat both China & Russia in a conventional war (although it would be very bloody). The problem is when one nation starts to lose they would be tempted to throw a tactical nuke or two into the fray - once that happens...

The only problem with conquering Bejing is who would want to be stationed there with all the pollution.

The problem is our Manufacturing base is in China. so how do we deal with that.

In WW II we had a massive manufacturing capacity to make everything we needed. now that is moved to China.

so once we start depleting our supply, we are SOL. Naked soldiers fighting with sticks.

The British probably thought that they would have an easy time with us during the Revolutionary War.

They had a professional Army.
They had the ships.
They had modern weaponry.
They had the technology.

Still they lost to us. You never know what can happen during war.

There are plenty of historical cases of major Imperial powers being slapped in the face by their hubris.

That's what we said when we went into Korea and Viet Nam. It's what the Russians said when they went into Afghanistan. And it's what the Germans said when they went into Russia. Hmmm, it's what Napoleon said before he went into Russia too. You think they're going to line up their tanks for a shooting gallery? The Russians and the Chinese are not Iraq, they're not going to sit there and take it. Russia most definitely knows how to bleed enemies long and slow. You kids need to learn some lessons from history. 2 weeks to beat Russia and China? ROFL!!

History does repeat itself. The problem is we never learn from history.

That is why it keeps repeating. 😀

What rhymes with WWI? The same calculations were run in London, Paris, and Berlin.

Much of it comes down to what the masses of people will do. The Russians might welcome the promise of a real US style democracy. The Chinese not so much.

However, once we beat Russia, China would be isolated. With no imports or exports the Chinese would probably negotiate.

No one is gonna start WW1 over Serbia

No one is gonna start WW2 over Poland

Everyone knows those wars did not start over Serbia and Poland, Serbia and Poland were excuses to start wars with the rest of Europe.

I doubt Ukraine will be an excuse for World War 3, nobody fucking wants to fight a world war. Nobody. Not China, not Russia, not the USA.

You act like unskilled labor is difficult.

If China joins, their country will implode from within. There are plenty of dissidents that are just waiting for a chance for revolution. You just don't read about it, but seems to be protests there every week in different parts.

As for Russia, they'll immediately face the same problems they faced during the cold war, which led to the fallout of the USSR - money.

Those who think we won't be able to spin up manufacturing fast enough, lol. Try us and see; you'll see a country with full employment ready to take on the world. Maybe that's what we need, a WWIII so we can get back on track.
