Do they have a statue of the Great ChickenHawk Warrior's anal cysts that he used to get out of the draft during the Vietnam War?

I heard that part of the bust includes a small pile of Oxycontin; and his get out of jail free card.

not so fast there, seems his bust may not make to the hall after all.

Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon's administration released a memo Monday indicating that a state board -- not the House speaker -- has the authority to determine what items are displayed in the third floor Capitol Rotunda where the busts are located. House Minority Leader Mike Talboy, D-Kansas City, also asserted that Tilley has no legal authority to order Limbaugh's bust to be placed in the Capitol Rotunda.

"The secrecy and exclusion of the public demonstrates that even Republicans are embarrassed at honoring someone who recently called a female college student with whom he disagreed a 'slut' and a 'prostitute,'" Talboy said.

Here's the story about Rush Limbaugh and how he got out serving in vietnam because of 'anal cysts'. I think you should be ashamed of yourself OP for honoring this scumbag:

Not sure your stance on it, but Snopes says it is a legitimate medical condition both back during Vietnam AND today - even now if you have it you cannot join the military and we do not have the draft.

It is not something easily taken care of. There is actually a support group for those who have this issue:

After seeing the pics on wikipedia, I can say I would not wish it on anyone.

You might note the irony that El Flushbo, after avoiding military service, has earned his living sitting on his pilonidal cyst...

No ironly found. Lancing removes the pain.

EDIT: There is a vast horde of reasons to dislike the guy, but a valid medical reason for not being drafted (one that still disqualifies you for military service this very day - even with our major leaps in medical treatments) is not one of them.

I'd like to temper your observation a bit by mentioning the idea that during wartime, physical requirements invariably get loosened up, a lot of it on the low low as desperation exacerbates the need for replacing the dwindling ranks of the cannon fodder the war machine continuously needs by the hundreds of thousands. At the time of the Vietnam era draft, recruiters were commonly known to "make exceptions" due to pressure from their commanders and their need to boost their recruitment numbers for promotions and bonuses.

For the many thousands who avoided the draft out of fear, birthright, political/religious principle, etc. there were just as many or more who tried every which way they could to volunteer enlistment to get into the fight and do "the right thing" in defense of democracy, despite their physical impairments or lack of age. Romney was not among this latter group.

And for those of us who were "U.S." (Unwilling Soldiers or draftees) the dodgers weren't looked kindly upon at that time, considering how us draftees were willing to do our duty while others refused or got favored treatment because of political/financial influence.

Romney had a choice to make: he could have made it a priority to serve despite his ailment as thousands of others had done during that war, or, as he decided to do, by taking advantage of his ailment to get out of serving his country, also like thousands of others before him.

I won't disparage Romney for his choice, as all of us "children" (as I now look at it with hindsight) had a life changing decision to make at a time when most of us were not mature enough to do it. All I'm saying is those were the conditions back then and it is a factor in forming an opinion about the choice Romney made at that time.

Fuck you and your opinion in this, you give everyone and their brother a bye on serving in the military, but you single him out because of his political opinion? Do you ever get tired of being a loser of a hypocrite? Should only conservatives be allowed to serve in the military or should you be forced to serve in the military if you're a conservative? How about if we give little baby peckerwoods like you an excuse to never serve since you'd probably shoot your mates in the back.

I agree, and they still can if people push for it.

Thank you for your post, but I was posting about Limbaugh.

Only in America you can get famous for saying stupid shit on radio to people that already believe said stupid shit.

I had a pilondal abscess removed when I was about 17. I never tried to join the military so I don't know if it would've disqualified me or not. Not knowing (and not wanting to know) where Limpbaugh's is located, I can't speak to how much pain it may cause him. Mine was located near the top of my anal cleft. It never caused me pain, just a lot of oozing from the abscess. More disgusting then painful.

Had it not been draining constantly it may have gone unnoticed for years; possibly the expanding sinus would have eventually caused pain and discomfort. Perhaps Limpbaugh's pilonidal was exacerbated by his weight.

As far as his bust in the Hall of Famous Missourians; if it does get placed I should think a better location would be next to a bust of Jesse James; another inFamous Missourian who like el Flushbo, was reviled by most who knew of him and his antics, but worshiped by young boys and teens (or those with juvenile minds) who knew nothing of his crimes.

No screw your false outrage and it's attempt to mask a real problem with Chicken Hawks... My problem with the major Chicken Hawks who have found places in public office and advocate for war (before all other options are exhausted) while having never served. This includes Rumsfeld, Cheney, and to a lesser extent President Bush. He's included because unlike today, reservists generally weren't sent to Vietnam as combatants. A few were sent, the vast majority weren't.

Oddly enough it's the Chicken Hawks amongst the Neo-cons in the republican party who were most vocal in their support for the M.E. wars (particularly Iraq). I take real issue with that.

Why? In Iraq no modern WMD program has been found. Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden weren't working together on 9/11 according to the CIA and Israel. A British intelligence report also backs this up. Bin Laden disliked Saddam Hussein likely because of his (and his) son's material excesses. Saddam Hussein not being devoutly religious viewed Bin Laden with suspicion.

Mr. Limbaugh did have a legitimate reason to not be drafted but his attitude towards the aforementioned chicken hawks and his attitudes toward people who actually served but aren't in his political camp on their views of the most recent M.E. wars is fucking despicable.

I suspect his weight would have made it worse. Being grossly obese is never a good thing.

🙂 I agree.
