Trail shoes: New Balance MT915 (looks suspiciously clean--just got the second pair delivered by UPS. The first pair held out for a good 6 months of pounding)

I am 5'10", weigh about 185 pounds, look more like a football player than an ultrarunner, midfoot landing. I have 3 pairs of shoes:

Mizuno Wave Ascend 5s (almost done for). Great all around trail shoe.

Adidas Vigor Trail. Only for muddy/sloppy singletrack.

Saucony Pro Grid Omni Moderate (road shoes, 1 year old and look brand new still haha) Oh and I hate these shoes.

Come the middle of March 2012 I'll have a swanky pair of NB MT110s to gallivant around in. For road running I wish I had the money for some Hokas.

5'9", ~155lbs. I only run in run type of shoe, Brooks Adrenalines, for the time being. Going to be trying on some trail shoes in November since I have several trail races on my calendar.

Logging currently around 25 per week. I've had these for a couple months and they're fine. Not great, not terrible.

I picked them up @ the Woodburn, Oregon Adidas outlet store for $30. In all honesty I may have a one-off version since they don't appear identical and I can't find my particular show anywhere online. Weird.

overpronation with a midfoot strike

Asics are the only shoes that work for me (currently the 2160 model). I made the mistake of recently getting some Saucony's that didn't have really good stability control and ended up getting a shin splint that kept me from running a single step for almost 4 months. Even walking would occasionally hurt for a month or so after the injury. I'm sure there are other shoes that work with overpronators but after this injury, I'm not tempted to experiment any more.

I got a new pair of New Balance 1080 V2's last week. I've put about 25 miles in them, and they are great. In terms of cushioning, the 1080 V2's feel equivalent to my Brooks Glycerine 9's, but with a much more springy feel. With a lower heel to forefoot drop, I noticed that I tended to strike more at midfoot. There's plenty of room in the forefoot and the heel fit is nice and snug. I did ten miles in them this morning, and my legs feel like they had only done eight.

Adidas Mana 3/4/5/6
Adidas Supernova Sequence 1
Mizuno Wave Alchemy 9
Mizuno Wave Rider 1/2/4/5

The only pairs that are usable for running right now are the Mana 4/5/6, and the 4 is starting to go. All the others have hundreds of miles on them and definitely shouldn't be used for serious running (the wave rider 1 in particular has around 580 -- it was my first running shoe and I wore it for weight training class long after the first season).

I'm running on 2 pairs of ASICS GELs & a pair of Reeboks

Asics GEL-Antares 2
Asics GEL-Finite
Reebok Doublehall

Not sure what my "running style" is or how it can be defined, I just run, lol.

Update: my new road shoes are New Balance 890s. I'll get new trail shoes this summer when the NB 1010s are released to the market.

Adidas Supernovas. Picked up these up when I started running trails every day.

Asics Gel33 or something like that. I put ~40-45 miles a week on shoes, so they wear out relatively quickly and I don't pay that much attention to the actual model number. I just try 5-10 shoes on at the running store that are recommended to me and then run a quarter mile in them until I find one that feels natural enough.

I run barefoot on the beach in semi-wet sand. I have a pair of new balance (cheap stuff) when I run on concrete.

Any here run on ZigTechs? Thoughts?

Slickdeals recently had a front page flaming hot deal for Reeboks. I got 2 pairs of Reebok Realflexes for ~70 shipped. I slipped them on and omg, they are sooooo comfortable... so much so that I shelved my 1 month old Kinvara 2's and started running in the Realflexes. I loved my Kinvaras and been running in them for close to 2 years, now I can't even look at them. From the comments, apparently the zigtechs aren't as great for running but are great for the plyometrics.
