Brand new machine, up to date drivers, GTX280. Most of the complaints on the boards I've read were related to extremely low end video (onboard).

Interesting,mind you I'm using a 4870 card,tried it with both 8.11 and 8.12 drivers,game has been fine texture wise.

I have grouped a lot in game and not read any texture issues from other players.

Playing on Artemis (US PVE), currently a 19 mage/16 priest. Be very careful with how you place you skill points as skill resets = cash shop.
Having played to 35/28 in beta, I know the semi-end game spec that works best, so I can plan it out from the very start. Like diablo 2, you need to save skill points (in this case TP) early on so that you can max out a small set of skills, some of which you unlock at higher levels.

General issue FAQs here ,remember to make sure you have latest drivers ,DX9.0c etc...and obviously your specs meet minimum requirements.


Works fine on my Vista x64 main PC and Dell Laptop(Vista x86,3gb,8600m gt,Conroe 2).

I'm hoping the size of the installer indicates a ton of content, because it sure isn't the graphics. The textures, while adequate, are awful. I mean the price is right to look past it, but it's no Warhammer or even WoW in terms of visual quality.

Everybody has said the game looks pretty good,especially for a freebie,make sure you go into game options and turn everything right up(except shadows).

WoW/WAR were nothing special graphic wise if you ask me.

I admit for the price it's pretty good. I did crank everything up to max, didn't change things much. But what I am saying is that the textures are nowhere near as detailed or refined as WoW/WAR. They're very low rez textures, for example walk up to a task board, basically there's "blotches" of paper on the board.

Again, I'm nitpicking for the price.

This could be fun actually, instead of paying to grind out the items (WoW) you can pay the same amount to buy the items and have an advantage over other players.

You still have DX10 and yes its for Vista as well as XP the link above.

2. Fixed a bug that caused the Client to crash when casting.
3. Crash reports are now again sent to Runewaker.
4. A bug that caused the region-setting window to appear after patching was fixed.
5. Access to houses can now be restricted by setting a password.
6. For a small fee users can now assign a name to their house.
7. A graphical error in the mushroom habitat was fixed.
8. The Winter Event is now online.
9. The region selection in the launcher has been tweaked:
- The windows language setting will determine the default setting
- The region can now be selected in a drop-down menu.
10. Durability is now shown for ranged weapons as well.

Yep I was using DX10. Apparently this only impacted users who had downloaded the Closed beta Client and then upgraded to the Open beta Client. I downloaded the Open client and now it works.

My closed beta client upgraded fine to open beta(I was in closed beta for 2 weeks) I guess the problem you had only effected a small minority.

Happened to me. There's two identical sites for the US and International version so you have to sign up through the us site if you're trying to play on US servers.

Cant register... After I click the link in the mail they want me to do the Questionare... But there is no "next" button, I select the other MMOs I play and nothign happens. There is no way to proceed with registration.

I had to switch over to Internet Explorer. There's not really a button visible but there's a really really compressed image maybe 2 pixels high 30 pixels wide that you can click on to submit the form.
