He he, the best part is when you can mind controll the alliens... I always do very strange things to them then, they are dancing in the circle. Or I am just doing execution.... Just line them up, pick one soldier, and let him have 6 or more kills, thats fun!!!

Well,
It is very complicated/complex game, it has many levels to it. First you have to do a lot of research to be able to equip yourself/ your squad with new weapon/armor/tanks. Then you would have to make sure that you have enough money to be able to support your bases/ build new ones, get the new weapon systems, and last but not least make sure that you are doing well in combat/ tactical part of the game... It is very complicated. Good luck.
Visit the first link at the top of the thread, go to Stategy Guide, and then read Kuo-Sheng (Kasey) Chang's UN-official Strategy Guide. It is a long read -about 100 pages so it gives you the idea of how complex the entire game is.... And make sure to play on the hard level. It is much more flustration/fun...

You dont have to read all of that, just start, the guide is very well written, and it expains all of the aspects of the game.....
So you know what you are getting into...

The game is not hard to install. Download it, install it, then copy the sound fix and the vid fix to the root folder where you installed it...

Important tip: NEVER SELL ELIRIUM AND ALLIEN ALLOYS... Even if short on cash!

X-com 2 sucked. The onlything they did to make it harder was screw up the research tree. "Oh, lets make it so they have to research an alien corpse before they can research it's gun!"

back on topic, xcom retail works just fine on my win2k boxen. its just that on a 1.54GHz athlon everything scrolls too fast to be very usable.
