Not really, no. If you understand that the question was PLANTED, and understand the REAL LIFE of the military and government funding, you wouldn't find it funny at all. But considering the fact that you do, it just proves that you're just another moron buying into twisted liberal bullsh|t.

Have a nice day.

OK, Nik, please regale us with the "real life of the military" - last I checked you'd never served. I have, for six years, and Rumsfeld is an embarrassment to any thinking American.

I don't see it that way and I have served. I don't agree with you so I don't think?

I have had several profs that fought in Vietnam, as well as know of people that served one or two tours of Iraq. They dont think Rumsfld is an embarrasment either.

Uh, gee, with such a direct connection to the service, it's no wonder you know more than the forward-deployed GI who asked that question, or the hundreds of others who cheered at it . . .

This is one veteran who thinks the Bush administration is the most corrupt presidency, and the one most abusive to the military, in modern history. As I said before, Rumsfeld makes McNamara look like a wise and conscientious genius. I hope there is a God, so these wicked men will be called to answer to him for the sins they've undertaken, substantially in His name.

I'm glad you see it that way. You seem to be the type that blindly accepts the twisted liberal half-truth bullsh|t that lots of other sheep--err, I mean people take as gospel. I'm surprised that you're so foolish having been in the service.

Listen, son, you need to grow some respect. You are a hugely overweight teenage computer geek whose only combat service involved an X-Box gamepad. You know nothing of what you speak, and yet you persist in throwing around insults like a child. I won't dignify this stupidity with a public response.

 The more you exaggerate in a serious thread, the more stupid you look. Trust me. :p

In all reality, you obviously don't know me very well. I'm not hugely overweight. I'm not a teenager. I hardly qualify as a geek and apart from a halloween party this year for 30 minutes or so, I've never even touched an X-Box. Not like it actually means anything to you, since you don't seem to see ANYTHING with any real degree of reality.

Either respond publicly or STFU you damn coward.

Oh I see it coming. So you blame bush for getting intel from Russia, Saudia Arabia, and Egypt that he had WMD's, then turning to the CIA and them shrugging going "we don't know WTF we're doing" and making an executive decision to go in?

I see. You're one of them too.

I will indeed respond publically, though I hardly think it makes me a coward that I approached you by PM.

Each of us is entitled to his opinion, but frankly I've served under President Bush for four years, and you haven't, at all. Indeed have served in a combat zone, in support of OEF. As far as I can see we are being led by religious zealots with more neoconservative political philosophies than brains. The public is being systematically lied to (and, in re the recent Armstrong Williams flap, at taxpayer expense).

I am just glad I'm finally free of the UCMJ and able to say these things. The public are obviously largely happy with President Bush (or at least happy enough to reelect him, though his approval ratings are presently the lowest of any pre-inauguration second-term president), so I acknowledge my opinions are outside the mainstream. That said, I've worked DAMNED hard for President Bush, and came by my opinions honestly, not second- or third-hand. I am not a sheep, I'm a patriot.

I find it hard to believe that his "ratings" are being taken fairly considering how popular he was during his first term and the recent election results. I'm glad you have your opinion. :) Because that's all that it is if you refuse to look at the situation with an objective view.

BUT, AGAIN! Read my words: YOU HAVE NOT SERVED. Sure your FRIENDS have, sure your "good" buddies have, sure your Grandad has, but YOU HAVE NOT. Read the definiation of lame for a description of you touting off about how much you know about the military.

What "objective view" are you talking about? Objectively, it looks to me as though we've spent (or will spend) hundreds of billions of dollars, killed tens of thousands of Iraqis, lost over 1,100 American lives, and burned essentially all of our political capital worldwide in support of an unwinnable, pointless, illegal war, based on completely faulty premises. If you can see this morass as anything positive, hey, knock yourself out.

If you search my posts from back in 2002, you'll see I spoke highly of President Bush and was happy to serve under him in the middle east. That tide has turned.

It seems to me there's a real hypocrisy in your saying my opinion is invalid, and yours isn't, simply because you disagree. Respectfully, I know a LOT more about the military than you ever will.

I understand and respect your experience in the military. What I don't get is why you're babbling that Bush is responsible for this and that and absolutely everything you can possibly accuse him of, without laying blame on anyone else. That's why I question your posts. I would much rather have had Bush in office than Gore, who would have gone running with his tail between his legs after 9/11. I would much rather have Bush in office than Kerry who would have taken forever with stupid summits and meetings asking everyone ELSE what to do, remaining indecisive about anything, not really doing or saying anything with real content (like his entire campaign) while the world passed him by.

Well one the question/statement was quite misleading and untrue.

They dont go to scrap yards. And they do and have had the armor resources readily avalible it just takes time to install it. Like I said there was an interview with the people in charge of armoring the humvees and they took quite the offense to that.
