Sounds like a bad case of consolitis
WUT? Really? Pffbbb.REAL bad. You can't even remap your keyboard controls.
We've been here before. Welcome to kepler 2.0.Although it's essentially off topic, I will comment on rdr2 in the frame of this thread's Navi gpu performance. Navi sure performs well compared to it's competition that is. very glad to see a <400€ euro card can run it well at 1080 where I still game at.
However we still know very little. There is a mention in the original article, that moving a slider to the performance setting, essentially doubles the frame rate. We need to know what this does to image quality, as well as what settings correspond to the consoles image quality.
Heck if the game looks great at medium, who cares.
What worries me mostly, is that the 1070 is slower than the 580? I mean what the...? Is Nvidia getting lazy or the driver is not up to date yet for pascal?
The high prices of the 2xxx RTX make it even more likely that nVidia would pull that stunt this time, because RT alone simply isn't the driver it needs to be for them at this point. We've been here before. Welcome to kepler 2.0.
Vulkan results, its better

But doesn't Vulkan offer better CPU utilisation though?By a margin of 1 to 3 frames per second...

Always better to have more CPU time free for other things.
Hardware Unboxed ran actual game play for their benchmark and they said that the Vulkan path suffers from very noticeable stuttering in the actual game which is why they used DX12 in their benchmarks.
If on avg its 40% faster, and if AMD can price it at around $170 it would be killer.
Ideally yes it shouldn't be more than 150, but if its indeed 40%faster avg than 1650, amd will definitely price it above the 1650.This card shouldn't be more than $150
135 FPS in 1080p, Epic Settings is not possible even with GTX 1060. With Zen 2 CPUs, in the same settings GTX 1660 Ti averages 140 FPS, and GTX 1660(standard version with GDDR5) averages 125 FPS. RX 5500 will be much closer to GTX 1660 Ti than people think. It looks like it performs about the same as the RX 570. You can get a 570 for about $140 these days so assuming the performance is equivalent then $150 should be the highest they charge.
