well the 5.2 was done by a friend of mine.

its not mine.
Anyhow mine is under water, and i figured u guys wanted to see what the max air was on my friends attempt.

Being that its an ES model, and he has no cost in it, I doubt he is worried about longevity.

That brings another point, how much difference will we see between the ES models, and the what is released to sale.

IMHO, from my experience the retail versions are a tad better since they aren't as leaky.

When is the i7-990X going to be released? I haven't seen any reviews of it yet.

Hi buddy,
Intel i7 990x Extreme Edition will be released on Jan 9th, 2011.
There will be a little improvement compares to the current i7 980x.

Hi,

That's great! Definitely going to pick one up when it's released. Do you think the 980X will drop significantly in price?

According to Intel's marketing policy, Extreme Edition CPUs usually will not drop the price when new model (still EE cpu) releases.

Check the Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition out, you'll find the same truth.

found out a 995X is floating around.

However i also found out, that its on the same stepping so im not too fond of what intel is doing right now.

Impressive, but that had to be under LN2 cooling.

actually that was done on air.

I know the guy too, its the 2nd cpu which was bin'd after i bin'd this 990X.

Yes, but can it post a pointless 6GHz screenshot bench?

mine and the other can.

As i said, they came as a pair, and i got to pick the one i wanted, and had to send the other off to another evaluator.

lol. you know nothing. cpu on my screenshot is under LN2.

the cpu i was showing was a 990X which was the sister to my 990X.

Now unless your the person who got the sister cpu from me directly though my source to evaluate, which i dont think you are, its not your cpu.
