Does something make you think I'm a spokesman for the repbublician party? Or even a member?
Not me. I see you as a person with conservative values which I can respect who finds people who react to things with passion and rage to be rather socially dangerously reactive, for lack of better words. Where I think we differ is that I find both the outrage and your reaction to it to be par for the course, normal reactions neither of which reacting to them makes any sense.
I have such reactions myself but I can't justify them. I saw long ago that all negative feelings are self created, that this is actually heaven we live in. Attitude is everything. It's simply a light switch that can be turned off for sleepwalking or on for enlightenment.
The only really meaningful goal I can see is how to turn it on. That answer is not out there in the world. It is within as the kingdom of heaven is.
We suffer and what we suffer from in my opinion is a loss of the joy of being we were born with by being made to feel unworthy. But that is only a feeling that is just a lie. We never lost anything, we just believe we did and search for something we can never find since it was never really lost. That is the switch, the seeing that, the transformative realization, the knowledge there is nothing lost and nothing to seek, no reasons to be unhappy with things. The world is made miserable by the miserable and isn't if you aren't.
So I see nothing wrong with reacting to injustice like lying about people if the reaction isn't simply rate and I see nothing wrong with reacting to such reactions that do consist of rage. Humans are equipped genetically to know when injustice exists and correct it where it does. But the first work should be not to be throw fuel on the fire.
