“We are taking our message to families that are struggling to raise their children in the 21st century because, as you saw, Jeanette and I are raising our four children in the 21st century, and we know how hard it’s become to instill our values in our kids instead of the values they try to ram down our throats.

“In the 21st century, it’s becoming harder than ever to instill in your children the values they teach in our homes and in our church instead of the values that they try to ram down our throats in the movies, in music, in popular culture.”

LMAO, there wasn't anything even separating both thoughts, it's just one after another, how is that even possible.

I prefer the repetition he did during the last GOP debate arguing with Trump.

How is even possible that a presidential candidate thinks there are 57 states? Therein lies your answer.

Rubio should seek medical help immediately.
As a symptom, that can't be a good one.

How is it even possible for someone to still not understand the difference between a slip of the tongue and genuine ignorance, even after countless explanations? Therein lies your answer.

I think that campaigning is incredibly grueling and gaffs are inevitable. Perhaps you should consider saving your outrage for something worthy of your intellect. Oh snap. Sorry.

But to those who have known him longest, Rubio’s flustered performance Saturday night fit perfectly with an all-too-familiar strain of his personality, one that his handlers and image-makers have labored for years to keep out of public view. Though generally seen as cool-headed and quick on his feet, Rubio is known to friends, allies, and advisers for a kind of incurable anxiousness — and an occasional propensity to panic in moments of crisis, both real and imagined.

It often means someone is drunk. Or tired. Or stressed out.

It's possible he can't remember the next line of his speech, so he's adding filler. It's like when people say "fuck" too often.
I was with the fucking guy and he fuckin did the fuckin thing with the fuckin, ya know, the fucking stuff?

I agree. I think this could be damaging for Rubio simply because it's funny and now people will be on the lookout for it, but in a sense of what it says about him as a candidate it's meaningless. If you talk in public all day every day for a year straight you're going to say a lot of stupid things. It's inevitable.

Works for Trump, but not for Rubio. Rubio needs to reduce the complexity of his sentence structure and then repeat the same stuff ad nauseum like Trump does. "I'm gonna build a wall!" "Jeb is a lightweight." "China, china, china!"

Funny how it works for Hillary too with her long elusive anything but the truth answers

Perhaps if he said what he thinks rather than what he thinks others what to hear that will get him votes, he could be more original. I think the implication that because he's canned, he may in fact be actually empty, is a reasonable assumption to make.

Being fair he was reading it as a list it doesn't sound odd when you hear a longer portion of his speech. However it was stupid he should have known better or hired a better committee to prepare his speech....doh!

Ha, so true. Trump gives almost the exact same "AMERICA DOESN'T WIN ANYMORE. WE LOSE TO CHINA, WE LOSE TO MEXICO, BLAH BLAH BLAH" rant in every debate.

I think it's for a different reason than Rubio, though. Rubio is over-rehearsed, whereas I don't think Trump spends any time at all preparing.

In any case, it seems like people are making a big deal over nothing. Can't blame it on the liberal media, though, since Christie is the one who called him out for it.
