I didn't really like RTCW but it seems to be getting awards galore. The single player was okay but the multiplayer is just weird. I really enjoyed MOHAA and I thought it beat it in all areas except that RTCW contained the "fear or war" it seems. It was dark and had some scary war music when you were discovered by the Germans. (Also a lot like Where Eagles Dare music 🙂 )
MOHAA was a little too honkey-dorry for a WWII game. D-Day was practically a nice day whereas it was stormy and in the morning. Also the sand was too light, it too should have been darker like a brown and not a golden brown. These are petty details but would have added to the game's realism immensly. Medal of Honor Frontline had a really good D-Day since it was dark and the sand was relatively dark. I also loved their plane effects, MOHAA should have contained more. But both MOHAA & MOHF should have been rated M for mature and had swearing with all the elements of war in it. Not neccesarily just blood but the guy's faces [In MOHAA, looked good in MOHF] should have been dirty and bolder, they looked too squeaky clean.
RTCW wasn't fun for me considering I can't run the game very good even with everything on low settings. But the Germans looked great, the Allies were so-so but graphically both games[MOHAA & RTCW] were in a tie. MOHAA wins by a landslide for sound effects despite no real EAX support. RTCW had decent sounds but nothing that gives you goosebumps or the feeling you're there. Alright, I'm done complaining and I don't know why I made this post but I was curious if anyone agreed with me on these matters. I think MOHAA wins for best WWII game to date.
