rsx misshift

Oppsies 🙂 that's what rev limiters are for, people who can't shift 😉

a bad mis-shift will totally f*k up your valves, they get totally bent out and the repair costs can be insane. usually you need to get a valve adjustment, but i've heard of guys who've straight blown the engine at less than 100 mi. on the rsx.

<< How do you f*ck up the 3-4 shift? Pull straight back. EASY. >>

Totally....A friend of mine showed me a site where this dude had pics of all the crap that flew out of his engine when he overrevved it. He said he was racing and accidentally downshifted to second when he meant to go up to 4.
how do you DO that?!

good god, that is terrible. Thats a hard gear shift to misdo, unless yer shifter sticks or you are just dumb...

<< first of all why were they taping the panel? did they do it on purpose? >>

I think that was just something like the keychain rattling against something.

This is a know manufacture defective IMO..... I heard some pple mis-shifted the cpu register the lastest highest RPM at 14000 (14 x 1000)

IT is cause by the guide box is too close..... Check the ntsb or something like to check consumer complaints

and it costs about 9k for a new engine from what i heard

I hope they recall this or at least fix in the 03 model

Do you mean with the RSX engine in general, or all engines?...

overrevving like that can bend your valves? lol.. How? lol.. That seems strange to me.

The weakest link in an engine is the connecting rod, you're much more likely to throw one(or two..) from redlining it than anything else...

You shouldn't ever near the redline while you're driving. It's pointless, all you're going to do is wear your engine out faster.. heh

Btw, both of those videos suck compared to that guy doin 220 on the motorcycle.. 😀
