i've heard of more problems in the rsx specifically through consumer reports and stuff, something they're supposed to fix in '03 i believe, although i've never driven one myself so i can't say from personal experience (i own an integra myself).

as the rpms become too high, the valvesprings can't keep up and then the valves don't open/close quick enough. this is where the s*** hits the fan so to speak, as the piston hits an open valve, it's either bent or busts a hole. if you're lucky it's just bent.

When I get home tonite I'll IM the guy I got it from. He doesn't have a video of it happening, it's just pics of all the "shrapnel." 🙂
 
I blew up my friend's 8HP techumsa gokart engine after redlining it for 2 miles 🙁 The cylinder cracked in half, the rod broke into 3 pieces, and all the oil drained out onto the road.
