are you using 2.2b from lunatics.at? I went from 2.2b to 2.4 and saw a pretty nice improvement in my e6750 at 3.5. It's at 1733 RAC right now and still going up.

Engine in 6th at 13,276rpm and running cool. Not touching. :D

I threw together a Q6600 a week before the race. I have not squeezed it as much as I can because I don't want to be forced into the pits. ;)

It hasn't run SETI long enough to get an accurate RAC. But over the last three days it has averaged 3,540.67. :)

it's not over yet by a long shot! Germany and the UK haven't put much distance between us in the past 24 hrs I noticed.

Don't take much notice of the benchmarks scores ,they aren't particularly accurate.
What sort of WU times are you getting compared to your other rigs?
What's it o/ced to?

Smoke
Think I'm just going to have to buy this Q6600 I'm borrowing;)
I'm going to leave mine at 2.9 GHz until after the race ,already been in the pits too much!
What's yours o/ced to?

I'm still trying to hold out another 60 days, but it's killing me. Besides, it'll probably be more like 90+ before I can get a Q9450 for anything close to msrp.

Just a little over 3.2 GHz. I'm pretty sure there is more upside ... but that will have to wait until after the race. ;)

Thanks Alyx, - it will help quite a lot. We are now hunting for am increase of 5 000 - 10 000 credits/day for the whole team.

So please: all of you who have not yet done so: use the Crunch3r optimized applications; they may add some 8 - 15%!
You can pick them up here: http://calbe.dw70.de/win32.html

I finally have all of my machines going flat out, but I can't get any more machines up for a while. I have my network admin's tacit approval for the few that I'm running seti on, but if I push him he'll end up yanking it off all my work machines at once. All my rigs except one p4 from work are running optimized apps. The good news is that I did 6000 credits yesterday, so maybe it's all working!

Here's a question. One of my work computers is a p4 3.0 from dell. It shows up as a dual core cpu. I thought intel started dual-core with pentium d. Is this just an HT cpu?

Yeah, it is. But leave HT on, in my experience it crunches some 8 - 10% more than running just one thread. It will get hot though ... which may be a reason of running one instance of the application only.

Thanks for crunching so hard!

We gave that computer to a guy who is very computer illiterate. Let's just say that his nickname is "spacebar". It won't hurt it to run with ht for a while. I'll cut it back to 1 cpu after gauntlet.

Thanks, XP_Freak, those stats look good - at least from my point of view much more correct then before ;)

OK, now I can go back doing the TAS-stats only. :D

Petrus means they will speed crunching up by 8-15% ,not WU times;):D
Thanks for the stats btw :)

Upping the speed on my Q6600 from 2.6GHz to 2.9GHz maybe give me enough power to outcrunch LANMAN & maybe CK too;)

Alyx
Nice additions :D

Bryanw
Nice going :) ,don't push your luck with your work rigs ,work fleets can be tricky to keep hold of.

yeah, I know that I'm ok with what I have, I just have to be careful about snagging any more atm. We do have a couple of very old/outdated units that I've steered clear of b/c they're too slow to get much use out of. Once those guys bite the dust I'll probably coopt their replacements, however :)

naw, my best work unit is an x2 4000+ brisbane dell dimension that I have running at 2.43 with clockgen. it's getting 870 RAC right now. the others are 551, 212, and 198. The 2 that I could use but don't would not combine to even get 100, so I can bide my time

If anything goes out in the near future we'll probably get more dell 4000+ units.

of course, it's running 2.4v SSE3 (i've found it's faster than SSSE3 on my other quad)

it took the place of an AMD 4600+x2 because the Foxconn mobo decided to die on me :D

I'm gutting my PIII 731Mhz box this weekend. It served me well for a long time, but needs some cap replacement and frankly I don't have the patience. The case is a nice Thermaltake with a pretty efficient 450w PS though (from a previous upgrade), and I already have a socket 775 Quad capable MB and 2G of 1066 DDR2 RAM laying around so we'll see what goes into the mix...
