Damon enjoyed poker so much that he bought in for the WSOP after finishing this movie ($10k buyin). From what I hear, he played well, but got knocked out by none other than Doyle Brunson -- Damon caught pocket kings, moved all-in after being re-raised pre-flop, and Brunson called -- with pocket aces. :D

Yeah, both Matt Damon and Ed Norton got training onset by Phil Helmuth. After the movie, they both signed up for WSOP and actually lasted longer than Helmuth himself that year.

book was great btw, was like the first hardcover book in 6 years i bought and read recreationally after high speed internet/ post college ....ending was anticlimatic but hey it's real life not bourne identity
