UPDATE: Sorry Guys I've been really busy lately with school and work, basically been substituting triple espressos for sleep for the past 3 days. Anyways I have my router, but no modem, the guys next door are letting me use their wifi until I can get service again, which wifi through walls is hit and miss heh.

Anyways got a bill in the mail today from "The law offices of..." Basically charging me for my portion of the internet which was 15.97. I called up her office left a message with the secretary about the arrangment with the rent and said that she could remit the 1.67 to me in the form of a check at either my residence here at school or my parents place, and I would expect the 17.67 to continue each month until they are no longer paying rent here. I faxed a letter stating this over to her office, I haven't heard back yet, but basically it was an oral agreement between the two of us, which she had already begun performing(documented) which leaves little wiggle room.

Things have been going well for me lately, even working 30 hour weeks and carrying 17 hours at school I don't really feel stressed like I used to, plus its nice be able to have company over, even if I have to watch movies on my 15" laptop screen!

Oh she called my other room mate saturday night with some crisis or another and he had to skip out on watching the game with us to deal with it, then he told me the next day that she asked what I thought about her and if I was mad at her. I told him to tell her that I have no opinion one way or another, I think neither ill nor well of her...I simply don't think about her. Honestly even though this whole situation was handled badly it was the best thing that could have happened to me, no prolonging the agony, just rip the bandaid off so to speak :D

/edit oh yeah, thanks for the support guys, it might sound trite but it helped being able to read this thread and laugh when all of this was going on.

yeah you shouldn't have to deal with this kind of crap, worry about YOURSELF, YOUR job, and YOUR school before anyone else

Umm. . .

Why did you ask your roommate to lie to her?

If you didn't think about her you wouldn't have posted here.

She liked you, you knew it, and although you maybe did nothing to explicitly lead her on, you liked the ego boost.

Sue her back for harrassment. You have a pretty strong case against her considering she actually hit you and is forcing you to move all that stuff around.

If she physically attacked you in anger while unprovoked, I would have had the wagon come down and haul her off right there.

I fail to see how that wouldn't help the situation immensely.

do your self a favor. get a bat or gun, or at least pepper spray. find some protection just incase. her whole family sounds like a creepy bunch. all the legal stuff aside, be careful.
