On the right wing Libertarian do as I say not as I do front:

Ron Paul Admits He Takes Social Security, Which He Once Likened To Slavery

Texas Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX), a libertarian hero, last year said that allowing Social Security to exist is akin to permitting slavery. But during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe today, Paul admitted to the Huffington Post’s Sam Stein that he collects Social Security checks anyway:

Video of Ron Paul saying SS is unconstitutional and "slavery" on Fonews

Reminds me of his hero Ayn Rand on medicare. Oh yeah, Paul thinks that is slavery too. The only thing sillier then these clowns are the fools who follow them.

just because he disagrees with a program, doesn't mean he shouldn't take it. He's paid into it his whole life after all, might as well get out what he can.

The classic excuse for right wing hynpocrisy.

Any new fresh ideas guys? You all are running on nothing at all for results since the Bircher wingnuts started this little "libertarian" cult.

Listened to Ron Pauls last speech today. He started with "I achieved NOTHING since the 70s."

Well duh. When has a right wing libertarian achieved anything useful to society? Well, he did get a few million for his wingnut family.

What a corner the right has painted themselves into.

Since you guys need a superman to take up the mantle of vanguard capitalist may I suggest Donald Trump? At least he succeeded in bankrupting a bunch of companies. At least that's something.

The classic faux rage from the foaming at the mouth left wing hypocrisy machine.

What's a single man supposed to do when go up against a self gratifying, corporatist, special interest driven bunch of buffoons called politicians? He was forced to pay into SS his whole life, and you're somehow flabbergasted that he is taking his money back? Now I know you're retarded. Why no mention of the pension plan he opted out of? Does that not fit into your "ZOMG Lo0k at the hippocritZ!!" bullshit? What a tool you are.

pretty sure there is a different clown parade happening in this thread....

It's his money, and it would have been a lot more of his money had he been able to invest it himself.

Its his money

The man was forced to pay his own money into the system so nothing wrong with getting it back

What do you expect him to do?

A liberal complaining about a man who doesn't agree with the Social(ist) (In)Security Ponzi scheme trying to recover his money from the system is the equivalent of a pickpocket complaining about a man who doesn't agree with stealing trying to recover his wallet from a pickpocket.

This level of mindless stupidity goes well beyond comical.

This is abject nonsense.

Perhaps Ron Paul, had he the opportunity, would get rid of SS. But he obviously didn't have that opportunity, he was forced to pay into it, and there's nothing hypocritical about now taking funds out of it.

That's what it was designed for.

Yep. After all, there is a difference between the positions one might have on any number of issues, but then there is the law. Ron Paul respected the laws as they stood, paid his portion, and now accepts what he paid for. Having an opinion that he would rather never have paid into it at all is not hypocritical in the least.

I agree with RP on a number of things, and disagree with him on a good number of things as well, but this is a very silly thread.

How dare he take back stolen money after being unable to opt out of SS, which is unconstitutional.

Personally, I have always considered Ron Paul to good for little else than comic relief. As Ron Paul has run for President in 2004, 2008, and now 2012. And now that Ron Paul no longer holds elective office, in 2012, the question is will Ron Paul run for Pres again in 2016? While Ron Paul again disappointments so many delusional Paul Bots.

As Ron Paul also begs the question on the question of who is real Mr. Libertarian? Which IMHO is Gary Johnson who polled 1% in 2012.

You don't understand the price he pays for such commitment to his ideals.

I assure you, he does not think his run for office is funny.
