Ah, this reminds me I need to watch Évocateur.

KT

Edit: good lord, Downey was indeed a moron. I forgot how brutal he was and how annoying the show was.

I can't watch that shit. Less than two minutes in, and I'm already getting pissed off. That show could have been featured in Idiocracy, and it would have blended in perfectly.

I thought it was funny how one of the examples of libertarianism Paul uses was smoking. I'd like to see someone try smoking in a building now

Ron Paul made a mistake going on a trash show like that. You cannot expect to be taken seriously going on garbage like that. MDJ was clearly is only interested is riling people up for ratings.

Ron Paul wasn't ahead of his time, he's actually more stuck in the past.

You're actually correct about that.

The ideas of freedom and liberty from government oppression are out of date. Most people today are cowards and will gladly give up their personal freedom in exchange for false security.

Your right to smoke ends when it infringes on my right to freely breathe clean air -- even more important point about marijuana smoke, which also comes with a contact high.

you also have a right to not enter private buildings that allow citizens to smoke

He actually believes that government oppression is fine, but at the state level. He's also very racist. There's a reason why his following is very monolithic and he is very well regarded in the white supremacy community.

never heard of the show before, but it looks like the equivalent of piers morgan, only instead of the host bashing you, it's the host, the other guests, and the audience too.

provided a drug isn't really much more harmful than alcohol or cigarettes (i.e. marijuana), i wouldn't be opposed to legalization. i suspect it would likely have both social and economic benefits - less crime due to legalization, less drug related death (not just crime, but increased production control and purity creating a safer product), and obvious a new marketable product.

they used to think cigarettes were not harmful for a long time too. All addicts think their drug is ok. Im for freedom of choice, choose whatever drug you want, but I draw the line when they want to market the poison, sell it at stores and tax it. Thats simply exploitation of people with propensity to addiction.

so you'd ban the sale of alcohol and cigarettes? just asking for clarity :)

is MJ really that much worse? it doesn't appear so, which is why i wouldn't oppose legalization (still wouldn't do it, much like i don't smoke except the very occasional cigar).

that being said, i'd definite oppose legalization of krokodil. i don't mean carte-blanche legalize everything.
